Could we use A.Johnson or A .Boldin?

You didn't watch Boldin much the last couple years I take.

He's a savvy veteran, but Kearse is better than him. Especially on this team.

They both got picked up. Boldin to Lions, Johnson to Titans. Both went to pretty poor teams, speaks to their declining skills.

And why they wouldn't be good fits here. Our existing receiving corps isn't pedestrian and actually quite good in reality. They might not be Green Bay or New England level but they're in the ballpark. Our top three would absolutely rock it in any system that's pass first and embarrass Golden Tate in the bargain. Baldwin, Kearse and Lockett with "no e" are as good as it gets for a quarterback that's actually elite. Then you have Paul Richardson that if healthy kicks Kearse into free agency with a quickness. But durability is a thing just like clutch playing and explains why Kearse isn't chopped liver despite the statistics.
