This game was on the offense to me. We put up 17, not counting the touchdown on D. We didn't have any sustained drives in the second half and they got gassed.

More like if they could reach midfield at least, defense would have held up. I put blame on the offense for giving the Bengals great field position. Ridiculous to just generalize the problem of defense giving up leads. I blame Bevell for being a predictable ass, just avoid the 3nouts and everything would have been kosher. Still they gave up TDs instead of FGs.

The score was 24-14 in the 4th Q and Cincinnati started with the ball on their own 29. That is not great field position for Cincinnati.
They then went on a 11 play drive that ended with the secondary letting the TE run free for a TD
Everyone seems to say "well if the offense would have just made 1 drive, first down, etc". Well the same can be said about the defense. They just need to get one more stop in the 4th Q to finish the game off. They didn't get it. Instead they allowed 17pts.
The defense didn't finish the game just as much as the offense didn't finish the game.

When the offense fails to put a drive to together for almost an entire half, it gets hard.
And for the people "listing" all of the losses due to the defense, should we make a comparable list of all of the games that we won where the defense was fantastic and the offense couldnt find their way out of a paper bag?
Over the last 3 years our defense has given up a few leads, sure. But they can only carry pathetic offensive performances so many times.

Kris Richard = Gus Bradley.
A couple times. Yeah. No Defense is perfect. But the Seahawks D used to clamp down and destroy teams in the 4th Quarter. They would hold teams to 0 or 3 points in the second half on a regular basis under Quinn.
This is a trend that we got used to seeing under Gus Bradley. Quinn fixed the problem, but it's back now. I can handle if if they do it once or twice, but now it has become a regular thing. And that's a problem.

Russ is good, but his lack of putting points on the board hurt us. Hopefully he starts to let it rip, when he does that this team is almsot unbeatable.
