Fred better be all world as a pass blocker, because when he and Graham see the field at the same time, defenses will be nickel and dime and blitz Russ.

I bet we'll see an uptick in screens this year.

Hope not of the bubble variety. Don't like those.

Jackson seems like a nice weapon for the passing game and a good option to spell Lynch on a handful of 3rd downs. That said, I wish I was a little more confident in this backup RB situation. It probably won't matter as long as Lynch is healthy, but I think we might be screwed if Jackson/Rawls are ever our only options at feature back. On the other hand, I always felt a Turbin/Michael mix of security/dynamism could at least get us through a few games. I guess currently it's not really worse than any other team's backfield situation, but I always felt we were more on the plus-side in that regard for the last couple years.

I just watched Fred's post practice interview on the .com site. He comes a crossed as a very intelligent likeable fellow. I think that he will be a good fit for our team.

He was running away from secondary guys, I think he will be fine for what we ask him to do.

So pumped about him! I can't believe we're fortunate enough to have him as our backup/specialty guy. :thirishdrinkers:

obviously if he left the bills to join the pats he would be betraying most of his fanbase.

He made the right choice. Sb here we come.

The last 3 years jackson's average has been meh

2012: 3.8
2013: 4.2
2014: 3.7

I'm not seeing how this is going to help...

It's a lot harder to run the ball when the team that you play for has a backup QB starting for you. I'm not saying RW is Montana out there, but at least the box wont be stacked on each play.
