Yeah as Sailors said 4 years 57.4M:

The grade they gave is criminally low. We are going to cap hell? Really? We are in a great position.
They are looking at the pure number without context or structure. Giving him 40M guaranteed is what makes the deal so insanely good from our perspective. Especially when coupled with his current contract.

I'm not sure what all of the cap drama was about if JS was willing to extend Gen. Sherman for more money than Revis.

This is great news! First off, the Hawks get to keep their All-Pro corner, there is no fishing for FA's that haven't played in the system or guys out there trying to make a payday so they can tank once they get here. Second, anyone with an elite corner or anyone wanting an elite corner is going to have to pay through the nose to get one, not even knowing how that player will fit on their team. Third, the Legion is intact. All of it entering the prime of it's career without a contract issue to concern themselves with.

What he said. The cap hits are below 14M except for 1 year. That will be a bargain in 2 years.

So much for the " Seahawks won't be able to keep Earl AND Sherman" garbage. Niners fan be crying now.

The Seahawks did well to lock up Sherman prior to Haden and Peterson. Haden just signed an even bigger deal.

The signing bonus, the full guarantee and the amount guaranteed for injury all surpass the deal that Richard Sherman just signed with Seattle.

Meh...

What's a couple million?

Respect apparently...
