Clemons makes Bennett look like a pile of poo if you want to compare their careers. Heck even Tate (he's young) has had 2 years that were WAY more valuable than Bennett's only 2 decent seasons.

Literally Bennett is on the decline of his career about to turn 28 and he's only had 2 decent seasons, one of them when he's playing the dynamite boy in an all time great defense... how is anyone impressed he's standing right in the middle of an all time great defense???

Still nobody has answered me how is it that we lost like 10 guys and the only guy we retained is Michael Bennett? I just think this was a huge mistake and next year will prove it when Harvin get's hurt (we need Tate) and Bennett is over rated (it would be better to have Clemons or Jared Allen).

Bruh, what?! You want two old defensive ends, one whos past his prime, and the other who can fall off at any moment over a premier guy who can play on all areas of the line giving us the options to put who ever the hell we want out there to create pressure and is in his prime? Go home.

And you guys thought I was bad. At least I loved getting Mike Bennett back. :)
You're not bad Blitzer just a bit negative and a big worrier. This guy has to be trolling because no way can someone be that ignorant on purpose.

It is a special time, isn't it? I am happy I was here to gas the fire.

Well the answer is pretty obvious when you look at who left:

1. Tate (0.8m cap in 2013)
2. Schofield (0.8m cap in 2013
3. Thurmond (0.4m cap in 2013)
4. Giacomini (4m cap in 2013)
5. McQuistan (3m cap in 2013)
6. Browner (0.8m cap in 2013)
7. McDonald (0.5m cap in 2013)

We lost guys who were making nothing. So there was no 'relief' when they went UFA. Additionally, we have a LOT of players getting into their final years of their rookie deals. So general raises with the players we actually still have on the roster probably eats up all 7 of these salaries lost.

We cut Red/Clem and Rice. Lots of dead money there. Around 8 million. That's about the entire cap increase for 2014.

When you lose low paid rookies to UFA signings -- you aren't gaining any cap relief.

Nope, quoted the right one. I have always defended myself when others accused me of going full retard, it's finally nice to have someone else say it as well. :)

I understand that, I just appreciated that you said I don't go full retard. Or was that directed at someone else?
