Twenty-one is a high number. However, Howell's 3.4 interception percentage his first year starting was lower than Fields' 3.7 his first year starting and his 3.5 in year two of starting. The only thing Fields has advantage on is his legs.
And Howell had the most pass attempts in the entire league. Howell's teammates love the guy. It was cool listening to some of the Washington media talking about how tough he is.

If I could trade Howell for Fields straight up right now, I would probably just keep Howell. He's on his rookie deal for multiple years and may have more upside as a passer. Either way, it might be pretty inconsequential in the grand scheme of things. Geno is probably starting in the immediate future and we might just draft another QB within the next couple years to be the starter after him.
