Is there anyone who can deny the impact this kid has had on the franchise, the players, the coaching staff and especially the fan base! There are other quarterbacks who have provided a spark at some level that in terms of stats may be even superior to his. But since this kid walked onto a Seahawks practice field things have changed forever! If his progression continues in 2014 (and I have every reason to believe that it will!) then I see very little logic in not locking this kid up for the foreseeable future! IMHO that number will be ~$25M. The arguments about handicapping a team by paying a single player are tantamount to looking at life through rose colored, socialistic glasses. In every business in America you see this very thing. Execs making huge salaries while key team members at the non-executive level get payed an (easily manipulated!) industry commensurate wage. Some will argue against it, some will even be outraged but Wilson will get payed and payed handsomely next year!
