Today's offensive performance wasn't some anomaly. If you look at last week's game vs. the Browns, following our FG with 2 minutes gone in the 2nd quarter that gave us a 17-7 lead, our offensive drives are as follows:

3 plays, punt
3 plays, punt
7 plays, interception
3 plays, punt
3 plays, interception
3 plays, punt
3 plays, punt
5 plays, game winning TD

Then today's Ravens game:

3 plays, punt
5 plays, punt
6 plays, punt
3 plays, interception
3 plays, punt
7 plays, FG
3 plays, fumble
3 plays, punt
3 plays, punt
8 plays, turnover on downs

We have to preface any discussion about our offense by noting that we just played the top two defenses in the league in terms of total yards. However, I can't remember the last time that we were held to just 3 points. I'm going to guess that it was in October of 2011, 12 years ago when we started Clipboard Jesus and lost to the Browns 6-3.

Going back to 2012:
0-17 loss at Green Bay on 11/14/2021.
3-9 loss at Rams on 09/18/2016. Also the same year, we tied 6-6 at Arizona and lost 5-14 at Tampa Bay, neither of those are three points or less, but figured they were worth mentioning in the context of this thread.

This has been happening all season.

Drives vs. Giants
3/-7 punt
5/14 punt
2/7 TD (short field Def TO)
4/13 punt
7/75 TD (Lock)
6/24 end half
1st half (Geno/offense) total; 51 yards, 7 pts

9/57 downs
4/5 missed FG
DEF INT TD
3/3 punt
6/29 FG
4/7 downs
2nd half (offense) total; 101 yards, 3 points

Drives vs Bengals
11/75 TD
3/6 punt
8_33 punt
9/42 FG
1/-9 end half
1st half total; 145 yards, 10 points

8/51 INT
8/38 FG
4/20 INT
4/20 punt
10/50 downs
6/51 downs
2nd half totals; 230 yards, 3 points

I guess you could call 145 yards and 10 points a success. If your standards are really low.

Rams game had a 3 yard 2nd half. Lions game was good. Carolina game was good. 1st half Cardinals and 1st qtr Bengals was good.

Other than that? Not so much.

8 games, 2 good games, 1 good half, and 1 good quarter. Against 1 atrocious game, 8 miserable halves, and a shitty quarter.

Thanks. I had forgotten about those games/results.

The worst offensive performance by a Seahawk's team in franchise history was way back in our 2nd or 3rd year of existence when Jim Zorn was the QB and Jack Patera was our HC. It was against the Rams, and I can remember Patera noting Jack Youngblood and Fred Dryer in his excuses for their performance.
