After all the winning seasons I couldn't put my finger on why losing feels so different.

In the past most of our coaches responses reflected the fans frustration. Knox and Holmgren blowing blood vessels on the sidelines. The resigned head shaking accepting that we suck and need to get better.

Chuck:
"Don't tell me how rough the water is, just bring the ship in."
"You've got to play the hand you're dealt."

Holmgren:
You put a tremendous amount of energy, your whole body and soul into something, and you need to win once in a while. Otherwise, it becomes too hard.
Everyone has to understand what the role is - what the role of the player is, the role of the coach is. You're hired to do something. You're paid to do something.

Here is PC:

"Not for one reason at all am I thinking that we have to restart this whole thing and create a new philosophy and a new approach and all that, I don't think that. I think we've got the essence of the things that we need. We've got to build on them, we've got to support it better and we've got to continue to grow and progress. There ain't no standing still, but there's the foundation for doing things."

Yep, that's it.
