Four picks for a return man . . . interesting.

He's a WR, KR and gunner.

It was only three picks. We swapped thirds and gave them three low picks. And from what I've seen, this guy has a ton of upside as a receiver, as well as being the versatile WR/KR/Gunner we needed badly all last year.

Love this pick, going to be a star in Seattle. His best trait? Always open.

traded picks, because no way 11-12 new guys make this team. But do we need a first class PR/KR and gunner? Yes we do. Is Richardson out at least six games next year - I think yes.

Like Lockette better than Richardson. Still hate the PR pick. Probably would have preferred Strong.

Can he return punts?

"Kansas State's Tyler Lockett has been named winner of the Jet Award as the top return man in college football in 2014. Lockett, who will be honored at a banquet in Omaha, Nebraska, on Thursday, led the nation with his 19.1-yard punt return average. He ran two punts back for touchdowns. Lockett also averaged 20.1 yards on kick returns. The award is in its fifth year and is named for Johnny "The Jet" Rodgers, a wide receiver and return specialist who won the 1972 Heisman Trophy at Nebraska. Rodgers and a panel of football writers and broadcasters select the winner. - AP Sports"

returns were a big weakness for us last year and we just drafted the best guy in college, who can also rock in the slot.

GREAT pick.

Richardson and Lockett are very different players. Richardson is not elusive and I think this pick shows we are giving up on him as a deep threat. I think Lockett has some Golden Tate to his game, though he isn't quite as physical and I don't know if he has the same high point ability. But I like this pick alot. I think he is a better deep threat than Richardson, I think he's better after the catch than Richardson and, god willing, I think his is more resilient than Richardson. Not down on Richardson, but where he wins is very different from where Lockett wins.

Do I think we overpaid? Yeah. But if Lockett pans out I don't really care. Both players we got get me excited. Much more than last year, where it felt like we drafted for floor rather than ceiling.

I don't understand all the hate for short WRs - short WRs basically destroyed our CBs in the Super Bowl. They were complimented by a game changing TE, which we have now, and an veteran WR with a little bit of size - which we have.

Point being, now that we have Graham, the need for another lumbering big bodied WR is much less - especially considering big WRs don't return balls or really play special teams at all so they'd be in no man's land on our team.

Love the route running but seems very redundant in our offense.

Reminds me a bit of Tate in that highlight video. Liked his combine numbers too. Great 40 time.

Its funny we have Ricardo Lockette and now Tyler Lockett. In Pete and John we trust

So do we still have another 3rd round pick or that's it?

For all those saying he's Tate 2.0, here's something Tate didn't do for us:

uh you think pete and john drafted a guy and are giving up on him already after he was limited reps in camp thanks to harvin being there, showed some potential when he did play, and then got hurt? I doubt it.

More like we had a chance to get the best return man in the nation who can also play receiver as a solid 3 or 4. In the third round, for giving away a few late picks.

For once the analysts are actually praising the seahawks for making a pick.

I definitely agree that he is a very different player than Richardson and one that I like more frankly. Richardson should still be a deep threat and battle Kearse for the role as the starting X but Lockett is should play a much differnet role as a slot player and returner.

He is basically Percy Harvin light. Lighter on skill but lighter on baggage as well.

With Richardson getting the second serious knee rebuild on the same knee, anything he gives us in the next few years of a probably short career is a bonus. I hope the best for him, a few good years then a safe, healthy transition to post NFL life. He might come back just when we need him, when a receiver or two are out for injuries.

I would love to have seen at least one OL pick at this point.
