This is a strange move. He's under contract for less than a year and he knows he's going to get paid by someone. That won't be the Hawks.

IMO using Pryor as a specialist is not intended to replace RW's talent but to maximize the effectiveness of our read option plays when it is called. How can we run read options to its fullest against 49ers stout defense when they threaten to hit RW on every option play? Even when he merely hands off he is still likely to be "checked" blatantly.
Having Pryor come in on those few plays may tip the defense that it's a run play but with Harvin, Lynch and Pryor in the formation they must respect the threats from all positions. When our usual run offense is held in check we should be able to counter with our read option and such variants to provide more ground game without risking injury to Wilson. When RW is in he can still audible or shift formation to read option and catch defenses off guard without letting defenses target him as they did last season. It's about versatility and using predictable plays to set up the unpredictable.

Interestingly if we decide to utilize Pryor as a running qb even in limited plays it validates RW status as a passing qb in spite of so many who continue to call him a running qb.

Yes it tips our hand, and moreover removes a threat who has show he is every bit as big a threat to run as to pass as any QB in the league in RW. Now having him out there with Rw is another thing, but instead of makes no sense at all. You do not take the ball out of the hands of your franchise QB, period.

Not really, Some will say they re only doing it because they do not want Rw to get hurt, others will say Pryor is better, others will say we do not truest Rw enough. YOU already have some of our own supposed fans saying TP is being groomed to take RW place so they do not need to may RW. Having Pryor as anything other than a backup (2 or 3 and only playing in blowouts) or WR will cause huge problems.

Wide receiver plus trick plays think Antwann Randle El except way faster. He is an elite athlete I just don't think he is a great qb; he came to osu when they were just tossing their best athlete into the qb spot oh wait they still do.

Here's my idea:

Every play, we line up both RW and TP side by side a few feet behind center. Neither are directly behind the center, both are off to the sides like a V formation. Either the ball gets snapped to TP who will usually run, or RW who will usually throw. The defense will never know who gets the ball. Guaranteed touchdown every play.

Our center has a hard time hiking to one Qb without it being around his ankles, almost 65% of the Napster at RWs ankles, do you really think he can handle 2 Abs.

I'm thinking the second coming of Antwaan Randle El, with a little Slash thrown in.
But more Randle El.

If he could though it would be hilarious to run that offense.
