If you were fishing and caught a Seachicken. If you brought it home and cooked it up would it still taste like chicken?

If I wasn't a Seahawks fan, I would probably use the term SeaHacks. Cracks me up for some reason.

Kind of convenient that we don't really have a quality pejorative nickname. "Seachickens" and "Seahags" are just dumb, "Shehawks" is piggish and "Seacawks/Seacocks" is the silliest of all. They all just seem forced and lame. None of them roll of the tongue like Whiners or Bungles or Lambs.

Or the donkey's!

I think its weird you people are discussing names that if a fan of another team posts are instantly banned and the thread moved.

I don't mind it if it's used in a sentence... ex. "the seachickens are going to peck the living sh*t out or the eyes of the my little ponies in a few days". That's okay! :D

I've always hated those names big time.

but I admit Berman calling us Seahags for years really got my goat. I've hated that asshole since.

They know how to pronounce our names now don't they???

He hasn't done it to our faces. He wouldn't dare. I used to see it on his FB page until I blocked him.

How about Sea-Trannies? LOL.

When doing my show, I made it very clear I was a Hawk fan and devoted probably half the slot to "Hawk talk". Again, Hawaii is polluted with 9er fans and I did my best to torment them. I got tons of threats and hate mail. All very inspirational. Most called us either Shehawks or SeaCocks.

Shehawks, at least made sense, but SeaCocks...what is that? Cocks of the Sea?

I grew tired of ridiculing their dumbass' and their dumbass monikers. SheHawks, SeaCocks, SheHawks, SeaCocks... and finally, I accidently asked...why not just call us the SheCocks?

They ran with it but I wouldn't let them say it on the air, so they started calling us the "Sea-Trannies". I kid you not.

So if you're in Hawaii, sporting your Hawk gear and someone calls you a Sea-tranny, he's a 9er fan. Hit him in the head.

Our name kicks ass. Our colors kick ass. Our uniforms kick ass.

I'm embarrassed for people when they call us Seachickens. I feel sorry for their stupidity and lack of creativity.

First time I heard that was at the Colisium in LA. When the Raiders played there.

I went down there to catch a game w/a Raider fan buddy of mine (we're from North Cal). I have to admit, not only did he think it was funny but so did I. Enough so that we took it back north and let all my Niner fan buddies throw it around any time the hawks would completely fail a situation.

And it WAS funny. And accurate, at times.

However... it's no longer accurate at all. And I'm simply not hearing it.

; )
