I see us getting to Luck a lot here. I also see the LOB getting back to their usual selves.

The only positive regarding o-line is that this group has 2 weeks of practice together and 1 game together. Here is to hoping they road grate Lynch to a bunch of conversions.

Can't you just envision the Seahawks getting to Luck in the same manner as the defenders in the YouTube I posted? I most certainly can. I watch that and my mouth starts to water.

This is great stuff, thanks.

I heard a stat yesterday that Lucks QB rating is 131 between 11-20 yards but 30 (IIRC) beyond that.

That's a bad thing for the Colts, if true. Unless the Seahawks decide to not play physical and jam their WR's.

The stat that you're referring to came via Hugh Millen on Mitch's Show yesterday, and it's a very good one. This comes from Stats, Inc. and that is this ...

On passes completed between 11-20 yards (from the line of scrimmage), Andrew Luck's passer rating is 131.0. Outside of those areas, Andrew Luck's passer rating is 74.0.

The Colts are 22nd in the league in terms of generating big plays of 20 yards or more.

When the ball is in the air 21 yards+ ... Andrew Luck and the Colts are DEAD LAST in the league in terms of passer rating.

That's very informative as far as the Colts game plan is concerned, because as Millen notes, if Reggie Wayne is 17 yards from the line of scrimmage and Richard Sherman is thinking that he's going deep ... most times, he's going to be cutting off that route (running a comeback, running an out, etc.) So, the deep ball doesn't look like it's going to be much of an issue in this game. Look for the Colts receivers to primarily run those mid to intermediate routes -- not those deep go routes. The Legion of Boom has got to be ready to cover those areas of the field.

Those Colts injuries are huge. The absence of Landry and Francois in particular could give Seattle exactly what they want on offense. Unless the LOB absolutely craps the bed today, I don't see Indy being able to keep up.

It didn't hurt that the newly filled spots on the OLINE broke-in against Houston's seriously effective DLine and a guy like Watt. That experience and a week of work to improve them is huge. McQ, Sweezy and Carp need to be solid. Those are guys who have a lot of snaps, if they can produce, it will really help Bowie.

If these guys on the line can improve each game, it can really set up nicely for the return of Unger and Giaco. I am confident that Cable got a good look at their struggles and with Bevell has put together an effective package.

If they can get that run game going, it will be HUGE for the passing game in the second half. Landry and RJF are a big part of that Colts run defense and there will be spots for RW to throw the ball, especially if the Colts have to make any added commitment to the run.

I expect to see a lot of Marshawn in the first half, more RW to start the second and even more Marshawn/Turbo to end it.

Of course, with Wilson there could be 3 straight pass plays to start the game, with Beast Mode hitting a big one for a TD on the 4th. Man... having a guy like RW is SO good.

Hawks lose this game. Russell Wilson will be under pressure all day. Oline will be shredded. 21-14 Colts. Don't underestimate A. Luck's wheels. He can run like Kaepernick.

On the injury front, I missed one that could be another significant blow to the Colts in this game -- Starting FB Stanley Havili missed practice all this week with an ankle injury and is OUT for today's game as well.

To recap, here are some of the others who will miss today's game for the Colts ...

Starting RB Ahmad Bradshaw didn't practice this week and could be gone for awhile with a neck injury that some are thinking could be serious. That forces Trent Richardson in to more of a featured role ... and he's been far from stellar thus far. And going in to this game without your starting FB as well -- not good if you're a Colts fan.

Starting DE Ricky Jean Francois didn’t practice this week due to a groin issue. The one time 49er signed a $22 million deal with the Colts in the offseason – he is a solid player and a real key to their run defense up front. He is out for this game.

Starting FS LaRon Landry didn’t practice this week either due to an ankle injury. Landry is one of the better Free Safeties in the league – a punishing tackler who made the Pro Bowl last season. He’s missed the last 2 games and is out for this game as well.

LB Bjoern Werner didn’t practice all this week with a foot issue. The Colts 1st Round Pick has yet to make a real impact in the NFL, but he is a rush specialist who is also out this Sunday as well.

Starting CB Vontae Davis was limited in practice on Wednesday and did not practice at all on Thursday due to a foot issue. Though he fully practiced on Friday and is listed as Probable, he may not be fully 100% on Sunday.

Those are some significant blows, which hopefully bodes well for the Hawks.

Awesome write-up man, very informative, and well written.

Hands clap.

Great look at Seattle's pass rush, I was wondering how well they were doing (numbers wise), the eye test has them kind of inconsistent.

Colts run an offense that is very similar to the 49ers (their O-Coordinator is from Stanford). Seattle has this scheme figured out pretty well. That's a decent advantage, I think.
