I think the streak needs a caveat of games with 7 days in between. We beat teams down, if they have 10 days, perhaps the effect is diminished.

Actually helps the Hawks anyway. Means Atl will be playing for nothing by the time Seattle plays there at 10 AM two weeks from today.

No more excuses. They've ended the streak, but none of that matters. We're going to continue our other streak - the Seahawks winning games!

Alternatively, an ATL win would have improved our SoV differential with SF :)

Ummmmm, no.

San Fran plays ATL & ARZ the exact same number of times, respectively, as we do.

Atl is ASS this year. How the funk did we lose to these jag offs in the playoffs last year!?

And they will be for a long time with the money they are going to be paying Matt Ryan. They lost key players, just like the Ravens did. With qb salaries like both teams have coming up they will not be able to retain anyone that is much above league minimum. The result of this is failure.

They played without Julio and Roddy White today and Julio is out for the year.

Because our defense in "prevent us from winning mode" didn't do their jobs.

20something points in the first half, and letting 'em march down in 2 plays within 30 seconds at the end.

The only two games on ours and the Niners schedules that do not feature common opponents. We play the Giants and Vikings while the Niners play the Redskins and Packers. Our two foes are a combined 3-12 while the Niners are 7-7, which is what the discussion in another thread about local talking heads hyperventilating was all about. We'll almost certainly lose a strength of schedule tiebreaker.

There's still a lot of football left to be played, 50% of the regular season after tomorrow night, and most people would rate SF's remaining schedule as being tougher than ours. But it is something to keep in mind. It would really suck to go 14-2 and end up with a stinking wild card.

Because teams change from year to year. Funny how time works.

Yep. I've heard many times players don't feel good enough to play after Sunday until "maybe" Friday. Especially veterans. 10 days to rest is a no decision. We beat teams up and thats what its about. 10 days off, or a bye week isn't part of the equation.

If we lose in SF on Dec 8, the strength of schedule may matter and bump us to #2 in the division but that means we probably shouldn't win the division anyway. A late season loss to SF and the 9rs can say they are the better team going into the playoffs. If we win that game in SF, everything else is irrelevant. If the Seahawks are going to win the NFC West, they have to beat the 9rs in SF. Everything else is interesting to talk about but likely has no impact.
