He'll get the Shaun Alexander treatment. They'll shoehorn him into something like the flag raising, he'll get tepid applause with a spattering of boos, and everyone will continue to credit his Seahawks accomplishments to other players.
Shaun was a league MVP, poor Russ was almost a MVP until Pete TKO that idea, poor poor poor Russ.

Lot of ex girlfriends in this thread.

Russ was a defining Seahawk. We were lucky to have multiple defining Seahawks over the past 10 years… two SB appearances and a ring.

It’s easy to hate on the guy that just left and left us with Geno Smith. Unless Russ is Tam Broody in Denver he’s career will be majority defined by his tenure as a hawk. His disagreements with the FO have nothing to do with his relationship with the fans or the city. He hasn’t said one bad word about us.

Obviously if he starts talking trash and disrespecting his time here that’s something else.

Russ should be in the ROH. He won’t be a HOFr though.

I wonder what his one day contract would look like? 10 million fully guaranteed, some fancy spring water in a bucket with exactly 12 ice cubes and some frozen milky ways with the wrappers removed and folded perfectly next to each one, and maybe some lamb skinned gloves so that his pretty hands don't chafe whilst patting himself on the back.
Don't forget peanut butter and jelly sandwiches with the crusts cut off.

Yes, but he'll still insist on a no-trade clause.

Ta-dah!!!
