That CBS story is garbage first of all. Took one JS quote and totally spun it out of context.

When has this team locked up a major player to an extension early in the process? The precedence is already there.. Wilson (and for that matter Wagner) will be signed before camp. Have no fear about it whatsoever.

Mediots, most of which hate the Seahawks and want to see the empire destroyed. There's simply impure motives for speculating to this degree and writing such drivel.

Uhh, NO!!!

The contract discussions have obviously moved into a more difficult zone, and both sides are posturing. Chill, it's pretty normal for there to be questions whenever these deals are done.

Russell will likely be a Seahawks player for his career or until the team feels it's time to replace him, and that won't be anytime soon.

CBS publishing a garbage story? Say it isn't so!

Wilson has his Jobu shrine up in his baseball locker.
If ya can't hit the curve in AA, you're playing baseball for off season fun.
Sounds like a great way to get through February and March.

Secondly, you don't get rid of a QB that wins without another QB that wins.

There is no "obviously" when it comes to this stuff. Unless you're name is John Schneider, Pete Carroll, Russell Wilson or Mark Rodgers, you don't know anything.

All these site writers and beat reporters are no better than us, grasping at things to talk about during the off season.

Here's what we know, Russell Wilson is the greatest QB in franchise history, a team leader and pillar of the community who loves living in Seattle. So Pete and John aren't letting him go anywhere. If that means franchising his ass, then so be it.

No, but I'll bet they let him RUN !!!!!!!!!!!!
Yes.. Run for his life! They should have to guarantee his salary if they force him to play behind our curent line.

The baseball agent was with Wilson on his first stint with the MLB and convinced Wilson to go back to college football. This move was a really decent thing for the agent to do because he basically knowingly pushed a client away from himself for the good of Wilson.
I think Wilson respects that move very much, and has a great relationship with him. I don't believe the agent wants to transition into football in the future. The guy is very much a baseball agent, and has a great thing going for him.

It's an opportunity for a massive payday (3% of $100 million+) from a client he has been grooming since college. Some would consider taking on such a massive contract as his first NFL deal to be a form of agent malpractice. Hopefully, the Seahawks give him a sufficient education.
