Per league source, Seahawks hoping TE Zach Miller can be back in under a month. Hoping will only miss 3-4 games.

Big loss but I think we can be alright if it's just 3-4 games. Big opportunity for Luke. Don't think we need outside help yet, plus we don't really have the roster flexibility for it anyway.

Might need to test Marsh's TE skillz.

If the major concern is losing pass blocking ability, why is everyone suggesting pass catching TE like Gonzalez and Finley as replacements?

Because they haven't figured it out yet. Seattle is where good to great TE's go to wind up being the 3rd tackle.

Ryan Kerrigan is going to give our OL fits.. I hope they're ready.

3-4 weeks is better than 6-8 though.

It's weird how we always hear about this stuff afterwards.

This is not good for our offense.

I envision if we go with a two tight end set it is Willson and Bailey on one side and rin out of this formation with Bailey blocking the opposing defenses best pass rusher. If we are going to throw to the TE it will probably be out of a 1 TE set unless we either sign someone or Helfet is a decent enough blocker to not have to waste a pass catcher by having Bailey be a blocker.

I still can't get over the fact that the last few bye weeks we have had, some sort of bad news always follows after them.

Didn't Garry Gilliam play TE prior to LT?

Yes. He and Bailey are the best options to lineup as the sixth in-line blockers on certain plays. Willson and Helfet are not strong blockers.

Hopefully that 3-4 week timeline is accurate. That initial report makes it sound like he would be out for most of the season.

Could have gone all day without hearing this! I half expected to hear similar news on Kam. At least we have some depth in his case. Sure was hoping to see a healthy McCoy this year. Ive been waiting for Willson to step up, this would be his golden opportunity. Teams were already going to be ganging up on Britt, unless Willson can give him a hand he is in for a rough patch.

Where is Jermichael Finley? :)

How bout Tony Gonzalez?

“But I’d be a mercenary to come in and get a Super Bowl ring, play with a team for, what, six, seven weeks? And even if I got the ring, it wouldn’t be the same as going through the fight with the team from the beginning to the end. I don’t think that will happen. The temptation will be there, but I’m 100- percent happy with my decision.”

I would be ok with Gonzalez, but does he want to come out of retirement?

If he reinstated, pretty sure he's still under contract with the Falcons.
