Ezekiel Elliott's suspension appeal hearing in New York will stretch into a second day, a source informed of the situation told NFL Network Insider Ian Rapoport on Tuesday.

Although the appeal hearing was still in progress after 5 p.m. ET Tuesday, it will resume on Wednesday, per Rapoport. The Dallas Cowboys running back is attending the appeal, which is being heard by arbitrator Harold Henderson. Elliott is scheduled to testify under oath at the hearing, Rapoport reported.
So when he perjures himself under oath does he get suspended for more games???

His suspension was upheld, but the late decision means the NFL will let him play this Sunday's game. The NFLPA has already filed to get an order halting the suspension until it can be heard in court. That will be decided next week.

An arbitrator has upheld Ezekiel Elliott's entire six-game suspension after denying his appeal, NFL Network Insider Ian Rapoport reported.

Although the suspension was upheld, due to timing the NFL is allowing Elliott to play Sunday, NFL Network's Tom Pelissero reported.

Last week, the NFL Players Association filed a petition with the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Texas last week seeking to void the suspension. It also filed a temporary restraining order motion against Henderson’s appeal decision. U.S. District Court Judge Amos Mazzant III will determine at Tuesday’s TRO hearing if the suspension can be postponed while he reviews the petition. Mazzant will make a ruling by 5 p.m. CT Friday.

The conspiracy bit makes his defense sound insane.

I am also annoyed this is being filed in an actual court. like, stop wasting the courts time with this garbage. Fix the power struggle in the next cba.

Agreed, makes the defense look desperate. The league doesn't spend over year investigating this and then suspend EE who plays for one of teams with the biggest fanbase to not have the evidence and not have it's ducks in a row.

Not only that but I believe the Brady case even further cemented the CBA's authority and subsequently Goodel's authority? They may get a partisan judge to initially agree, but would near undoubtedly be overturned on appeal.

Judge granted the TRO, so Elliott suspension is temporarily on hold until the case can be heard

A U.S. District Court judge granted the NFL Players Association's preliminary injunction request on the behalf of Ezekiel Elliott on Friday, meaning the Dallas Cowboys running back's suspension is on hold -- for now.

Judge Amos Mazzant III's decision allows Elliott to play as the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Texas reviews the NFLPA's petition to void his six-game suspension. There's no timeline for Mazzant III to make a decision on whether to allow the petition to move forward to trial, according to Gabe Feldman, director of the Tulane Sports Law Program.

Maybe not a Cowboys fan, but definitely a fan of Jerry Jones' money.

This is good news. The six games he was going to be suspended were mostly against other teams I'd like to see lose, including the rest of our division and GB.

Week 1 - vs NYG (was probably playing this week anyways)
Week 2 - at DEN
Week 3 - at ARI
Week 4 - vs LAR
Week 5 - vs GB
Week 7 - at SF

It also opens up the possibility that he could be suspended later in the season, perhaps when we play them.

The Seahawks will beat the Cowboys whether Elliott plays or not. Personally, I'd rather Elliott play so the Cowboy fans don't have that for an excuse when they get beat.

Our legal system can be really stupid sometimes...

I hope it ends up that Elliott gets his suspension right around playoff times and screws his team over.

Federal appeals court overturns lower court and reinstates the suspension. It's expected that the Players Union will refile in NY and get yet another temporary restraining order.

We need another restraining order, for at least a month. We need this to drag out until any six weeks before 12/24.

They are toast with that defense this year anyhow.
As an avid *allas hater, I hope they drag it out until next year and sabotage next season as well. 8)

It will stick, just a matter of when.

Odds are he'll do something stupid between now and next year as well.

If he keeps pissing off Rog, there may some "random" drug tests in his future, and as big of a weed head this guy is it would be trouble.

He reminds me of Aldon Smith.
