Was about as desperate a pick someone can make, especially for a bum like Trey Lance. Why’d Lynch reach so hard?

Dirty Dozen can you weigh in?

The Hawks are re-stocking the cupboards with youth/talent while the Whiners and the Lambs are clutching only air in the early rounds of the 2022 and 2023 drafts.

But then they got Brock Purdy with the 262nd pick, so it worked out for them in the end. We need them to stop having so much luck!

I got some numbers too:

41-23, 21-13, 27-7.

You can add those: 89 - 43

Another ratio: 5:1

Playoff wins 37 -17

All time win percentage 0.536:0.517

Hall of famers : 22:5

Not nearly as desperate as trading two 1sts for a box Safety

Let's offer them Adams for Lance straight up. Will even throw in Geno.

49ers unfortunately, are in a pretty good spot while the last hit from the Lance trade is this year, they have extra third round picks coming to them until at least 2025.

i have more relevant numbers:

seahawks lead the all-time series 30-20. seahawks have beat the 49ers 60% of the time. since joining the NFC west seahawks have beat the 49ers 62% of the time.

49ers established 1949, seahawks 1976. 49ers have a 27 year head start. whoops, looks like you forgot that caveat.

since the 1994 season 49ers have 0 superbowl trophies. all prior superbowls came from the era that had no salary cap. they (and the cowboys) were the yankees of the nfl, with their owner simply outspending other teams. another caveat forgotten

and with that, nobody gives a f*ck how many ancient rings or HOF guys 49ers have. :ROFLMAO:

santa clara 49ers have the most fairweather fans in the nfl.

on webzone in the 3700+ page trey lance thread you got people wanting trey lance GONE

some thinking texans would trade the #2 pick for "the bust"

utter lunacy. they would be lucky to get a mid rounder back for him.

Just be glad they did. How bad would they have thrashed us this year if those picks translated to more effective players on the field?

Having been a fan of the 49ers since the late 60's, I saw the disappointing playoff losses to the cowboys in the early 70's; watched them go from a laughingstock to a Superbowl champ in 3 years under Bill Walsh and then enjoy an extended run of success*. I certainly give a **** about how many ancient rings the 49ers have.

I apologize for using actual data in this discussion, but the "outspending other teams like the yankees" allegation is a fabrication. There were many teams that spent as much as the 49ers during their run. Fortunately, I have spreadsheets from the NFLPA with team salaries from that era because I'm obsessive with data.
1981: 20'th (max 6.5, min 4)
1984: Raiders 19.7, 49ers 18.5, Jets 16, Pats 13.9, Broncos 13.7
1988: Raiders 20.2, Giants 18.2, Skins 16.8, Pats 16.4, Browns 16.2, 49ers 15.7
1989: 49ers 21.8, Browns 20.7, Bills 19.8, Jets 19.6, Eagles 19.0
1994: Skins 42.9, Cards 42.7, Chiefs 40.0, Pats 39.9, 49ers 12'th at 37.8

Yeah, they were playing shenanigans with deferred contracts in the 90's, but this is hardly like the Yankees outspending every team by 3x.

I also GAF about the Packers, Steelers, Cowboys and Patriots. It's all great history. I get why you're bitter, though, because Seahawks do not now, and may never, be on that list of great dynasties.

*admittedly the 1994 championship team was like a late Roman empire army with lots of mercenaries

Post salary cap Lombardi’s: 0
H2H against Seattle: losing record

But good job on distracting from the fact that with all that draft capital gone in the Lance fiasco it’ll be hard to maintain a Super Bowl caliber team which in reality you’re not. Good luck yer gonna need it

Starting Lance could be really good for us.

Purdy’s openly acknowledged that he doesn’t have the physicality of a Jalen Hurts, but that he makes up for it with his mental. Whereas whilst Lance won’t acknowledge this, he’s exactly the opposite. His advantage was supposed to be his rushing, which is why it showed up right At the start of Week2.

The bloom is off the rose on rushing qbs, including Hurts.
