The Niners look good, but Pete has always faired well against Shanny for whatever reason. We very much have a rock paper scissors like dynamic in the NFC West.

McVay beats Pete, Shanny beats McVay, Pete beats Shanny.
What happened last season?

Purdy's gonna kill us for years to come..
how unbelievably lucky are they to get a generational talent.... with the LAST pick in the draft. They make such a bad mistake trading for Lance, and then it all works out for them. Can't make that shit up

Yeah I don't think I can deal with Purdy being this good.

Waste three 1st rounders on drafting a bad QB, you need to stink for a decade.........not fall ass backwards into the last pick in the draft being a great QB.

The football gods are a cruel bunch.
lmao I just posted the same thing and I hadn't even read your post. We both thought the exact same thing

It's crazy to me how lucky the Niners continue to get, if you think about how much they gave up to get Trey Lance THREE first round picks, most teams would implode with a trade like that and winding up with a bust. Not the Niners though-they get EXTREMELY lucky by finding there franchise QB with the very last pick in the draft, that is pretty much a Tom Brady find if there ever was one.

Seattle is not (today) ready for the Niners.

San Francisco, looked to be the most complete team in the league.

Since, Seattle, is divisional opponent with the Niners, that always count for something.

The Niners beat Seattle three times last year and that’s a fact but Seattle (I hope is better) is different from last year.

Seattle, will play the Niners as hard as they can this Thanksgiving, not saying Seattle, will win but since it will be Thanksgiving and the first meeting with the Niners since last year, Seattle will bring their A game (hopefully) against the Niners for Thanksgiving.

It will be worth watching!

And if Seattle, happens to win, oh man, I’m going to be celebrating!

Hopefully, Seattle, keeps winning all their games until they play the Niners, that would be a very anticipated good game for the NFL!

Sherm basically trolling Skip and the Cowboys in general. It's pretty funny.

It really hurts to hear Collinsworth slobber and lick all things niner. I thought I heard a jergins lotion container opening. I know that sound well.

Hopefully CMC will be worn down by the time Seattle sees them
'zactly -

Alot can happen in 7 weeks here before we meet them. They can get beat up, we can get beat up, we can gel together and then kill them.... a variety of things.

Fortunately they are at the head end of our 5 week 'difficult' stretch.

They see the Bengals after us - so that at least will be a measuring stick to compare our results. They have a bit of a soft schedule runninng up to seeing us. So they might not be so beat up after all.

If we're clicking - we can beat them. We got some DOGS that haven't even been let out yet. But, if we come out soft after the bye - well......

Yup, I was hoping against hope that Purdy would end up being a mirage, but now I have to admit that the guy is the real deal. He's accurate, on time, and rarely makes mistakes. He processes so quickly and so well. Right now he's looking not just good, but elite. <sigh>

He seems like a good dude, too.

Russ seemed like a good dude at one time too. Hopefully Purdy will start reading his own press clippings, hire a scumbag baseball agent, and marry a wannabe pop star.

So....

....I don't talk sh*t about wins because quite pathetically I assume I'm cursing my team. :) I do, however, respond to what I think is nonsense.

The 49ers look fantastic. I see cracks in the armor (RT, RG, Slot CB, the backup DL that comes in every 3rd or 4th series to keep starters fresh), but every team has weaknesses SOMEWHERE.

How does this apply to playing Seattle? Honestly, I don't have the first clue. Every year is a new season. Niners had Seattles number last year. Seattle is a different team now though. So is SF. Brock is better now than he was then. Hargrave has been fantastic. I'm really curious what Gregory adds.

"That's why they play the games"

SHould be fun.

This is how I feel now watching the Niners.

Yeah Purdy is pretty good. Surprised he lasted until the 7th. He might not have the arm talent or the measurables but doesn’t make a lot of mistakes.

Weird how many posters here think Carroll still owns Shanny like last years 3-0 was fluke. The two teams are largely the same as last year, but both have upgrades. Many fans and pundits were saying "Stop McCaffrey and they will fold" and the result is 42 points with McCaffrey largely neutralized.

Honestly the Cowboys game reminded me of the 1989 49ers Superbowl against the Broncos (played in 1990) except Walsh kept piling on. Denver had an excellent defense that season. Dallas has an excellent defense this season. Both teams were highly motivated. This could be one of those 2 loss seasons with good luck. The 1989 49ers were a rare mix of stifling defense and unstoppable offense, just like the current team (so far).

I agree the acquisition of Purdy was kind of happenstance, but with how many other teams would he fare so well? It's not just the players around him, its the development and coaching. It's a rare mix, like Walsh and Montana, their strengths match up.

I don't want to make Brady comparisons because I'm seeing a bit too much of that (and we need ALOT more runway before anyone says that), but Kirk Cousins I think is a really fair comparison.

The biggest difference tho to me is that Cousins critical weakness is that he shrinks under the bright lights and to this point, I haven't seen Brock do that.

I'm strangely content knowing the Seahawks aren't as good as the 49ers...Yet.

I expect a 10-11 win season, playoffs, likely not make the NFCCG. I'm okay with that because I completely feel we are only one or two more years away from being who the 49ers are right now.

If I didn't know we were on a Championship Trajectory, I would want to scrape my eyes out with a rusty spoon.

I shall remain patient and enjoy the ride.

I mean....

It was 42-10 with 13:50 left in the game and the 49ers had inserted backups....and Dak threw ANOTHER interception.

Dallas has a big problem at QB.

I haven’t seen the deep accuracy from Purdy that Brady had in his heyday. Most of Purdys passes have been fairly easy completions to wide open receivers on well schemed short and intermediate routes.
