Jesus Christ, news of that had not reached over here. That's so terrible :( That is absolutely heart breaking.
Agreed though, pretty nice display by Sparano.

Now if he would just drop the "sunglasses in a driving rainstorm" look he would be alright.

Not sure why that annoys me, but it does :)

Very cool.

And not to play spelling police, or detract from the moment, but for such an important piece... shouldn't the KOMO people proof read their stuff?

"Players will wear a "M-P" decal on their helmets during Sunday's game against the Oakland Raiders at CenturyLink Field, while staff and couches wear a "M-P" lapel pin on their shirts".

That just looks either lazy or uncaring, to me.

Nice move by the Hawks, too. Crazy-ass world we live in.

Why are the "a" bold? M is not a vowel or a silent H, so using "a" would be appropriate.

Assuming this isn't sarcastic:

Sparano has become known for wearing sunglasses, even during instances of relatively low lighting. This is due to an accident Tony suffered while working in a fast food restaurant at age 17 which damaged his eyesight, making sunglasses medically necessary.

It's "an" because you pronounce "m" by saying "em." It's based on how it is pronounced, not how it looks in print.

It's weird, yes. Now, hand me a m&m.

Even if Sporano is only kept as head coach through the end of the season, he'll go to some other team for sure.
