I am in...

Should be into Appleton around 1PM on Friday...Flying into Milwaukee from Vancouver BC.
Staying at the Radisson there which is apparently where the Hawks have stayed every time in recent years visits.

Appleton has been recommended as a great place for night life in comparison to Green Bay which is why we chose there...
Lookin to get tipsy Friday, Saturday and of course we need to setup shop on Sunday!

Flying out Monday night too.

One other note...

We haven't got our tickets yet but am looking at Hawks side of the field in the lower bowl or potentially in the end zone within the first few rows...

Which end of the field does the visting team warm up on at Lambeau? Anyone know? That would help in deciding which section to get end zone seats. in..

Also if any of you are bringing your clubs.... WI is a top 10 golf state... I can recommend some courses....
What would you recommend? I'm thinking of flying in for the game and would love to check out the local links.
If you want to pay some bucks you can play the PGA courses at Kohler (Whistling straights, Black wolf run). erin Hills is the home of the 2017 US open... Looking for a really nice course that is in most guys price range?
Try ALL of these:

Hotels in Green Bay will get expensive for Packer home weekends the second the schedule is announced, if they haven't done so for that weekend already. If you want to save some significant cash, stay in Appleton and bus/drive the half hour up to Green Bay the day of the game.

Also, almost every road team stays at the Radisson in Appleton, if you want to try to catch a glimpse of the players or something. The hotel is built with separate wings/closed floors so it's perfect for that kind of thing.

+1 yes Appleton is great and roughly 30 minutes from Lambeau. If you can, go early as gameday in Green Bay is an experience...

Also, hit Anduzzi's (Green Bay - West).

What a bunch of BS. Our attendance started waning BECAUSE the new owner wanted to move the team, our attendance was great in the 70s and 80s, and we're even credited with being the main reason the NFL instituted a crowd noise rule back in the day, as I linked to earlier in the thread.

I'm sorry to do this and it might be a bit painful, but here it is:

1995: An analysis by The Seattle Times shows the team did not make a profit last year (1994). But the losses were driven by empty seats caused by the club's third straight last-place finish, and by one of the highest player payrolls in the National Football League.

1996: Behring and Hoffman transferred the team's operations to Anaheim, California, a widely criticized move, although the team continued to play in Seattle. The team almost relocated, and was in bankruptcy for a short period. They sold the team to Microsoft co-founder Paul Allen in 1997, for $200 million.

There were lots of empty seats and the franchise almost moved because they couldn't generate enough income in Seattle to support the team. They needed more fans.

This is what my fellow Packer-Backer has been trying to get through to you. You see, this would never happen in Green Bay. Our support for our team was so strong that even with losing records and struggling through periods of no playoff berths, the Packers organization was making money and was able to sell out the stadium year in and year out. That is loyalty. That is something we have had for so long now that Seattle just can't match and it does not seem you can understand.

You seem to take this as a knock against Seattle or it's franchise. It isn't, it is just a testament ot the Green Bay faithful and that no other team can match it. Seattle might get there someday. Pittsburgh is close and so is Chicago. These teams have been around (at least the Bears have) for a long time and have a very rich tradition of history and players.

Our fan base is impressive above and beyond any other. The smallest city with the largest following of any NFL franchise that has lasted nearly a century.

Yes, other NFL cities should not at all take offense to the faithful strength of their fan base, Green Bay, and Pittsburgh right behind, are just really, really special communities deeply embedded, generation after generation, with their NFL organizations. I personally didn't understand this until making my first trips there and those communities are pretty darn impressive.

Seattle will get there no doubt, it's a great time to be a fan and this current group is setting the foundation for a golden age of Seahawk football.

What bars are we taking over Friday and Saturday????

Try Titletown Brewing Co on Saturday. Taking that would be something...

"Stop #17 on the Packers Heritage Trail is the Chicago & North Western Depot - - Still stands as the Titletown Brewing Co where celebrations continue whenever the Packers play. This railroad served as a departure point for many games played in Milwaukee and Chicago for over 40 years."
