NO vs. Carolina

I think back to that NFC Title game vs the Vikes, and besides "The kick", and Jim Henderson saying "pigs can fly", I remember the Vikings broadcaster screaming (about Favre's int) "this isn't Detroit, this is the Super Bowl."

The Vikings are like Andy Reid, snakebitten. They can have all the momentum in the world, and some how inexplicably lose the game at the most crucial moment, and the best part for the Saints is that the Vikings always choke during the playoffs.

We had no run game because the Panthers sold out to stop the run. Were you not watching the game. Drew was facing 9 in the box all game, and sadly for the Panthers (and good for us) Drew is one of the best when facing a pass rush. Pick your poison, but don't be upset when it comes back to bite you.

No doubt though, we were all standing up during the Panthers final drive (nobody was sitting with a viewing part of 40 ppl). Cardiologists in this town are going to be swamped with business for the next few days.

Props to the Panthers (except for sCam). They played hard, and gave the Saints eveything they could handle. This was unlike the lopsided Falcons/Saints matchups, and fairly called. That was intentional grounding, and that was an int. Can't home the Saints or the refs for Panthers players having brain farts.

I am nervous about the Vikings, but make no mistake about it, the Vikings took the Saints out of the playoffs in 2001, and they took the Saints out of their first ever playoff game way back in 1988. The Saints still owe the Vikings another loss.

And the pre-game buildup for this matchup will only discuss how the 2009 NFCC went down.

If the Saints some how best the Vikings at home, look for that rematch next year to be the most hyped game in forever.

Thank you Saints. Always good to see Clam Poopin on the losing side. And my new favorite Saint is the guy who absolutely crushed him. God that was fun to watch.
Hope you beat the Eagles as well. Strange to see a Saints team playing Defense, but they really came up big when it counted. And Drew Brees, what an incredible player. And he's a perfect example that you can be a great QB and not act like a Jackass.

Matt Kalil sucks ass! Glad we didn't sign him. 5 years, $55 million for a guy that Cam Jordan nicknamed "Speedbump McGee" LOL!

MKalil got abused, play after play, it was funny.

In his defense, Cam Jordan is a monster. Agree on it being a way overpriced signing though.

Saints D has to play better in the later rounds. Carolina screwed themselves in the red zone repeatedly but had, what, six scoring drives and a missed short FG? That's a little worrisome. Get it fixed and go win it all!
