Seachase dropped the mic when he said Wilson flat out sucks. I think we're done here.

I voted yes.

I do think Russ is struggling mightily in his personal life, and it is affecting his approach. That said, he is a driven, high character person. I think some of Russell's bravado has rubbed the team wrong (religion), and he is having to find his truth while also "experiencing" life. He is at a crossroads.

BUT... If he can center himself, find his life balance, and refocus... Watch out. The dude has a cannon, huge hands, is brilliant, loves the game, and... When focused, is a rare QB.

I am proud to root and jeer my favorite team's QB.

Maybe I am misreading your point, but I wouldnt mind "struggling" with my personal life with a new mansion and a hot new celebrity girlfriend.

He is handling his public personal life persona in a clumsy way, especially after the brand of Russ that he sold in his first few years, but maybe that is more what you meant.

I grew up in a super religious family. My "walk" does not fit the mold they cast. It makes my journey challenging at times.

Russell is trying to stay devout while also keeping it real. That is a crossroads. I live it everyday.

See I'm not so bad, I went to bat for you! :)

And I think some of the criticism has been fair when directed at Wilson. He needed to play better and the past couple of games he has. I think the circumstances around him were less than ideal early in the year with the line being so bad but he compounded it by hanging on too long or having happy feet at times.

Regardless he's played much better the past couple of weeks and he will need to keep it up. Pitt didn't have much of a pass rush so when we play a team that does I'm still concerned. Bevell, Wilson, the Line etc will all have to figure it out for sure. Yesterday sure was fun though.

Wilson should be in the MVP discussion but he won't be.

If he keeps it up it will be hard to ignore him. Rawls should also be in the RoY conversation but isn't atm.

This is such a nonsense thread as its only purpose is to bring out the trolls.

For the record, I don't know what "Franchise QB" means as it is just a buzzword but I will answer some similar questions that are a bit more concrete.

Is Russell Wilson a top-5 QB right now? Yes.

Does he project to be a top-5 QB into the next 5 years? Yes.

Is Russell Wilson the best QB under 30 right now? Yes.

Is Russell Wilson worth the money we gave him? Yes.
