It blows my mind that teams won't sign TJack. He's better than a lot of these QBs such as EJ Manuel and Geno Smith. I just don't get it! He's the #1 backup in my book for 2 reasons, as a starter he's an 8-8 QB, and he's tough as nails.

Tarvaris has been in Bevell's system for eight of his ten seasons and still plays poorly. Any team that signs him would have to have him in their system for a few years before Tarvaris would "get it". This is the same Tarvaris Jackson that was relegated to FIFTH string in Buffalo just two seasons ago. He wasn't good enough to beat out Kolb, Manuel, Thaddeus Lewis or Tuel, yet some people claim he's the best backup in the league. That is laughable.

I think Tjack is a "nice to have" option for us. But if it comes down to $'s I would be fine with Daniels. You know they will bring in at least a few camp bodies again this year just to see what's out there.

Side Note: In the NFCCG when we went to OT the Packers sent half their team out there for the toss and we sent Tjack and Ryan I think. When he picked the toss I told my wide " see that, Tjack just won us the game"!

What I thought was Packers are stupid. They send their starters out for a coin-flip and Seattle keeps theirs on the sideline so they can talk over the plays and figure out how to win this thing....

Despite Pete saying he wants TJack back, the Seahawks might have every intention of letting him walk and going younger and cheaper:

They will probably wait to do anything with TJack until after the draft. If he signs elsewhere before the draft, then that just increases the likelihood that they draft someone.

TJack didn't pick, the packers did.
That's how much TJack owned them in the coin-toss. GO HAWKS!

Wait, if TJack isn't coming back next season, who's gonna do the coin toss now?!

TJACK is the best number 2 in the league..maybe. Seeing other teams starters like the Browns it makes no sense why Hoyer could start and not TJACK.

I think at this point in his career, he just wants a little security instead of signing those annual one-year contracts. Offer him a three-year deal and see what happens. It's not like we need a developmental QB behind Russell. We need a steady veteran who can come in and keep the train on the tracks. That's exactly what Tarvaris offers.

I think you're underrating Brian Hoyer. He's a fringe starter in this league.

Hoyer can probably pick up a playbook and learn it in less than the three seasons it would take Tarvaris.

He is not the best number 2 in the league. The backup QB is always one of the most favorite players. As a player he was infuriating even when he was healthy. He had more turnovers than touchdowns, and he barely was able to complete 60 percent of his passes. Tarvaris Jackson also had a poor yards per completion. What was Tarvaris Jackson?

He was a Quarterback that happened to have knowledge of a new system that was being implemented on a short offseason. He is not the worst back up in the league, what I would call him is serviceable. He's not going to win you many games, but he's not going to straight up lose games for you. Perfect for a team with a strong defense, and strong running game. On a more offensive oriented team he would sink that teams teams season.

Tarvaris Jackson is a serviceable backup QB. He is not the worst backup in the league, nor is he the best -- but he is a replaceable commodity, especially if his salary becomes higher than it is now.

Josh McCown may start this year, Hoyer may start this year, and Matt Cassell. I might take one of those to ride the pine over TJack...but probably not. To see McCown possibly start or Hoyer get chance after chance is strange. Hoyer had one good stretch in one season in his long career. He is the definition of a career backup.
I would be a tad bummed to see him go, but intrigued to see who they draft and bring in to compete as the number 2.

Damn! Maybe he'll retire. I'll just keep my fingers crossed.

Hope we get T- jack back as he got hawks to playoffs with a torn Pict. Plus he knows the offense is cheap & is amazing at picking the coin toss.

Plus Wilson likes him ! So much bonus to having T-jack. He can probably win hawks a Superbowl too, since so many people think any QB can win with hawks team like Wilson is not elite & just a game manager.

But seriously T-jack is good,he had good stats playoff year even with that nasty injury,he is tough ! BJ might be too he plays well any time he is on the field even though he is young.

I'd love to sign him to a three year deal at the right price but my primary concern is still in finding our starter some protection so that we never need tJack.
