Work out a deal with Kam giving him just what he wants. . . .

While at the same time arranging a trade to another team -- who is willing to give Kam what he is demanding.

Before Kam's signature dries on the new contract. . . .tell him that he's just been traded to Tennessee for a first round draft pick and a player. But. . . if he wants to stay in Seattle and go down in history as a member of the greatest defensive unit ever to grace the green of the NFL field, instead of playing for a 2 and 14 team. . . .the Seahawks will cancel the trade, but he'll have to tear up the contract he just signed, and take a new much more cap friendly contract acceptable to the Seattle Front Office.

Oh. . . and just to be nice about it, don't make him spend hours agonizing about the choice. . . give him five minutes, and tell him that the Seahawks have already purchased his first class ticket to Nashville, on a plane that's leaving in six hours. . .

And Kam would spend about 5 seconds thinking about it before thanking the front office for the new deal and heading to Nashville. Moreover, the rest of the players on the team would know that if they want to get a new deal they can get one by holding out. Giving him a new deal, trading him, or cutting him all send the same message.
