I'll be there, so probably EXTREMELY over priced beer and praying they'll either let me bring in my bag of skittles or at least be selling some somewhere in the stadium.

Pulled pork sliders topped with a little slaw and pineapple. I will cook the pork in the crock pot overnight and wake up to a delicious smell of pork and a Super Bowl win.

More recipes. I love these threads and I am surprised Absolute hasn't put something in here. He was born with a chefs hat on his head.

Agreed. Love seeing what dishes people come up with. Especially for the Super Bowl.

I don't know, and I really don't care. Food is just food, something we have to eat to stay alive.

To me, the game is all that matters on that day.

Then why venture into this thread?

Lol :snack:

Because it is my version of the food thing for this game. Others give theirs, I'll give mine. Why give an opinion on anything?

Here you go.

You're welcome.

Friend of mine made this for the first game of the season, going to make it for our last game of the season:

http://bkarmstrong.blogspot.com/2013/01 ... bacon.html
Speaking of bacon, I'm pretty sure I'm going to bake up a tray or two of these little bad boys. Bacon wrapped stuffed jalapenos? Yes sir!

Baconpoppers
WOW!, I was contemplating this exact same treat, only I was thinking of adding a sprinkle of brown sugar on top.
Got this recipe idea last week while watching "The Taste" on TV.
I figured on having scalloped potato's as the main dish, the wrapped poppers, and lots of really cold beer to pack it all down.
I don't usually over indulge like this, because I don't think my body could handle all the junk that I'm going to throw at it with any kind of frequency :177692:

Thats nice of you to say, but game day isn't at my place. it's either at my Parents or a friends. The Super Bowl might be at my brothers, and I just let everyone else cook for me.

For the NFCCG though, my sister in law made jalepeno's stuffed with either sausage or mozza and wrapped in bacon. Absolutely wonderful. Mom cooked up italian sausage and put them on fresh rolls with her homemade meat sauce, and the wife made seahawks colored cupcakes with frosting that turned our mouths green.

Another good bacon recipe is bacon wrapped prawns, brushed with honey and bbq'd (or smoked).

I can never eat during Hawk games, too nervous.

But I can drink, so empty stomach + liquor = quickly inebriated Sgt. Largent.

Working on 50/50 beef/sausage smoked meatballs in a grape jelly/chili sauce, bout halfway done smoking all of them. Have a pork shoulder almost done on the smoker atm, for pulled pork sammies. Cole slaw, 2 growlers of Manny's, bread/cheese dips, and still working on if there is anything else.

If any .Net peeps in Tri-Cities are looking for a place, hit me up by DM!

A big pot of razor clam chowder (dug the clams myself). I make a mean chowder. Some sourdough rolls to accompany. Also my best bud is making clam dip and my Mrs. will do the cream cheese, shrimp and cocktail sauce dip too. Oh, and beer and Pepsi.

For my meatballs, I did a 50/50 blend of ground beef and mild Italian sausage (about a pound of each), half can of breadcrumbs, couple of eggs, Worcestershire sauce and mustard. Smoked on the Traeger for about an hour and a half, then turned the heat up to finish.

Sauce is 32 oz grape jelly and 24 oz sweet chili sauce

Brined a whole pork shoulder in apple cider vinegar and salt for 2 days, covered it in a nice rub then smoked for 6 hours, cooked on 250 until it was 180-190 deg

pulled and mixed with a little sweet baby rays on toasted buns, cole slaw and pickles
