The running game is having a great season which in turn has made Wilson a much better QB.

Fewer passes but quite possibly the most TD's he's ever thrown for a season.

When the running game is "elite" Wilson is much more closer to being "elite" than when he's forced to throw more. That's not his thing. He's not that kind of QB game in and game out. He needs that running game to be firing so he has a little more room and time to get it done.

Is there any other QB more efficient that Wilson right now?

Have to chuckle a bit at how some focus on overall stats to argue Wilson has been "elite." Stats don't mean much if the team is a one-dimensional, self-destructive mess. Kind of like the Jordan Bulls before he stopped worrying about scoring 35 a night and demanded a supporting staff that could get him rings.

Wilson isn't throwing as much this season yet he's a much better QB overall, most importantly in the non-stat areas that really make a QB "elite" in this league. Leadership, tone, etc.

I cannot overemphasize how much better the Seahawks locker room is these days. It's like night and day. The previous few seasons were pretty grim. This season the sun is shining in Seahawk land even when it's raining. Wilson is having fun. The team is having fun. The coaching staff is having fun. The support staff is having fun.

It's a great time to be a Seahawk.

Let's get to the playoffs and see what happens and after that get the ownership thing squared away and keep on building on what has already proven to be among the most enjoyable seasons in quite some time...

Yes. I think he's going to put up between 5 and 8 against the Cards and 9ers alone. Possible shootout vs KC and a must win vs the Vikes? Easily 40.

I would be more concerned with wins then TD passes, if he gets them with the wins great, but it doesn't mean he is Elite if he does right?

Just a game manager thats too short... runs around too much. Too bad he doesn’t have a good QBR or win percentage... someone might think he’s elite

Dat pocket though.

Study any great QB, and you will find they have their best seasons when the guys up front play well. Russell Wilson is getting the best pockets he has ever had. They are only average collectively, but they are so much better than they were in the past. :irishdrinkers:

Praise be to Solari.

That’s an extremely limited argument though  . How many QBs have had that kind of success even with a great running game? On pace for 40 TDs? That’s Peyton Manning, Tom Brady like territory

Wilson currently has more TDs than Jared Goff. With Todd Gurley and McVay. That’s impressive. Quite frankly, after 2017 I’m honestly shocked people say we can’t be a pass first team under Wilson. He literally carried the team unlike any QB in recent NFL history. And it’s a bit silly to argue Wilson needs an absolutely great running game when he hasn’t had the protection to execute a pass first offense.

If we were to become a pass first offense, our personnel would change. Different O-linemen, different receivers, different tight ends. One day Wilson will be in a pass first offense and this opinion will look silly
