Good morning kind 12's at .NET,
I thought it a good idea to remind our valued membership that we are all on the same team. That means we need to encourage and respect each other when we post to the site.
Because there has been some clear confusion in this area of late, we have had to take some actions we do not enjoy taking. In hopes that some might still be unclear on what we mean and need some clarity, here are some examples to better illustrate what we expect from our membership:
Post:
"I think Sweezy is the best player in the history of the offensive line!"
Examples of un-welcomed and attacking responses:
"Are you delusional?"
"What a freakin Homer!"
"Are you even watching the games?"
"That is the most idiotic thing I have ever heard!"
"You need to go root for the Niners, dude, you're an idiot!"
"Are you even a Seahawks fan?"
:thfight7:
Examples of appreciated and welcome responses:
"I disagree with that, and I'll tell you why..."
"Well, I wouldn't go as far as to say that, but..."
"That is an interesting opinion, but I don't necessarily agree, I say that..."
"Sweezy is good, but here are lineman I believe are much better..."
:th2thumbs:
As you can see, there is a clear difference between being nice, and not being nice. There are always ways to respect the opinions of others (while disagreeing with them) that do not call into question the other member's mental capacity, powers of observation, fandom, and/or their sanity in general. It is all about respecting your fellow 12's.
As a member here, it is imperative you select words and construct sentences that are within the confines of what we require. It is as simple as that. Should you choose not to, well... :141847_bnono:
Thank you, and Go Hawks!!!
Scott
