I think old Jack deserves some credit for building an expansion team that won more games than many expected.

Cool thread honoring guys who deserve our appreciation. Very nice. I'm grateful Paul Allen stepped up and kept the team in Seattle. Without that... perhaps the Seattle NFL franchise era remained in below .500 limbo.

Yes indeed, nice. It almost happened under Holmgren but we backslid for a while.

We clearly could not have accomplished this without the glorious Tom Flores era.

Takes a long time to overcome what expansion teams rack up as losses versus victory's, given the fact we are the most successful Franchise to start out from expansion or were last time I read it's really a remarkable milestone.

And thanks to Mike McCormack (GM with Knox), John Schneider, the Nordstrom family and Paul Allen.

And a hearty eff you to Ken Behring.

Agreed we could have got there a few years earlier if not for Behring trying to destroy the fan base by making a losing team.

Great thread! I love how you guys recognize that we do have a past, and not one to be embarrassed about. I had no idea that we had broke .500 today.

Thanks a bunch, Maulbert!

This has been on the radar for a couple of weeks, including several threads celebrating .500.

But it's great that it finally happened, and let's hope Pete & Co can build on it to where the next down period doesn't drop us below again. Hopefully, that "down" period is many years away. ;)

If we could just throw out the 1990s, our winning percentage would be kick ass. :) ugh that was a tough decade to be a Hawks fan.
