Definitely. Pete's told Jody his plan every off-season. They have a record internally that never gets leaked to the public a mountain of evidence built.

It was way past time to take the keys from grandpa, that's for sure.
Case in point...

You're right, Pete would probably still be the coach if he somehow traded up for Stroud, just like how I wouldn't be on my third wife if the first two didn't leave me.

Genuine question, why do you hate Pete so much? I get actual hate vibes from you. It's always insults and celebrating he's gone. Are you at all grateful for the Super Bowl, or did you not enjoy it because it was won by a guy you hate? Genuinely interested.

I can understand thinking it was time for a change and that Pete wasn't the right coach for the team anymore. What I don't understand is your utter loathing of a guy who led the team to the most wins in franchise history.
He will be doing the same to the next coach by week 3...its just a shtick...

CJ would have gotten hurt and the Seahawks would have a had a losing record with him playing behind this offensive line. He already missed a few a games with a concussion.

Alot of it had to do with the team growing stale over the last 5 years and not showing strides of improvement, then hitching his wagon to Geno did him in, he wasn't moving off Geno, the Brass saw this and had enough. Love me some Pete, but I believe they made the right move, even though not an easy one

Three and outs + Geno taking too long to make a decision to throw, made our OL and defense look bad.
Not to mention, Waldron had to dumb down the offense for Geno.

Yes. Offenses near the top of the league in passing frequency are always the ones that are dumbed down for their dumb quarterback.

Brilliant.

I really wanted Stroud.. After the draft, I compared what Carolina gave up to the Bears for the #1. It would have cost the Seahawks Spoon, JSN, DK, and a 2024 2nd (or maybe 1st if they didn't really like DK) to equal the deal.

Steep price. Would it have been worth it?
I think they would've charged us a bit more than they did Carolina in terms of pick volume. Probably would've counted on Carolina having a good chance to still be quite bad vs. seeing as a middling and possible playoff team.
