Jammer, do we have an updated readout on where we sit with cap?
Trying to figure out what can/we have to do to get Clowney signed.

At present the contract numbers for Irvin, Warmack and a few others are not noted up on OTC, so the last number I have up is the total without the deductions for those deals. Hawkstorian may know the true numbers remaining.

The team can still sign Clowney, but may have to restructure some deals depending upon how much the deal is for. If the team is still working towards signing him they believe they can still get him signed. I just wish they'd get on with it so we can know what our Line will begin to look like this year.

Hunt has until April 16 to sign his offer sheet, as per the calendar post above.

I don’t know what happens if the offer sheet is unsigned, Can anyone help, it’s somewhat arcane but a matter of interest.

I have him listed as part of the roster while technically he isn’t.

Thanks Jville! This seems like a 'prove it' deal to me and totally advantageous to the team. This player had the stuff when he was healthy but that was a while ago. I hope he can reclaim his career.

Now I may be skewed because the Hawks obviously hit gold in 2011-2012 with their drafting, it's unrealistic to find that much amazing talent in the rounds they did. But I feel like the past 5 years or so, outside of maybe 1-2 Marquee players, a lot of the Hawks drafting has ended up with so-so players, players who can't stay healthy, players who take themselves out of the NFL before they even play, and possibly players who have other off-field issues. I don't know what the issue is, is it just because the team competes year after year and now drafts at the bottom? is it truly just garbage luck because who can predict the injuries and off-field stuff? Either way from my casual fan standpoint it seems like the poor drafting has been the thing really preventing the Hawks from getting over the hump.

Like many things luck plays a big part. Talent is clearly the reason they've made the draft but if they get a run of injuries, don't quite fit the "team" , or anything else distracting them then it'll be a struggle. The 2011-2012 draft maybe we just got lucky in that the just clicked. There have been real stars who haven't cut it and others who were less fashionable that have. Fingers crossed we get a bit more luck.
