Their use of hyperbole was interesting and their description of what occurred was descriptive but not accurate. I just went back and watched the clip. Warner got the ball. DK tackled him as he was trying to get rid of the ball. The news said he did a WWE take down. I call BS on that. Warner then comes up from behind and pushes DK to the ground after the play. DK takes acceptation and goes after Warner and gets ejected. Warner should have been DQ'd too. DK has a temper as we have seen in the past. I get that. I guess you can argue he should have let things slide. You take a guy down (in this case Warner) however you can. This is football not girls flag football. You can blame DK for a lot of things and be justified but I do not believe this is one of times you can. Warner was a dick.
I saw the same thing that you did, that Warner unnecessarily and forcefully pushed Metcalf to the ground. But I got the sense that the refs didn't see it, which is often times the case where they see the retaliation but don't see what started it. Had they seen Warner's shove, it's my firm belief that they would have first thrown a flag and had a fight still broken out, tossed Warner, too. The guy they tossed was nothing more than a cheerleader during the incident. He wasn't the cause like Warner was.

But that doesn't excuse Metcalf grabbing Warner by the face mask with both hands. Go up and give him shit, chest bump him, get in his grill, but keep your hands off him, especially the face mask as that's just asking for a PF/ejection. You'd think that Metcalf would know that by now.

Sorry, I'm not giving Metcalf a pass on that one. It wasn't justified. Metcalf escalated it.

One thing that I do think should happen is the booth should call down to the field and tell the refs what they missed and to throw a flag on Warner.

Metcalf has a history of being escalated by people. But he is also one of our better weapons.
It is terminally stupid by this team and our coaches not to realize this.
If he has a problem with someone, before it escalates, the team should have a process in place for him to point out the offender and allow the team to resolve it. Metcalf is too valuable to not protect, especially if people are goading him.

That means being willing to take the flag if you need to send a message. But we won't do that.

Our 2012-2014 teams would have. That would have been a blindside block, or we did our share of diving at defenders' knees. We don't do that anymore and it saddens me. But whatever.
Our staff wants Metcalf to police himself, which is stupid. And apparently, now everyone else in the league knows this BUT for our coaching staff.

We will get ‘14’ to lose his mind,” Shanahan told his players, per Silver, before jokingly promising, “Christmas present for whoever gets him.”

This is garbage akin to bounty gate
Yea that's not cool, but Shanahan's probably not the only coach doing this. DK has allowed himself to become a target for other teams to exploit.

The ref was watching everything, he even threw a flag, either for the kind of suplex or pitching the ball forward. Warner should have been penalized no matter how you look at it

ok DUDE. I just am saying that I didn't try to act like they weren't. They were punks in a lot of ways, but backed it up.

So does SF. I don't see a difference, best team in the league on both sides of the ball....and Warner is arguably the best LB in the league.

DK has a lot of passion and a great desire to win. You want people like this. Knowing it is easy to get under his skin is a great weapon for opposing teams. He definitely needs to be sat down and made to realize that what teams are doing are intentional. Back in the day I remember guys on the line "mother calling" and making "racial" insults to get guys to react. It is as old as the game.

1. DK went low, if he had tackled higher, he would have had Warner stopped. Warner wouldn't be able to give the ball to a different player.

2. DK does slam Warner to the ground.

3. Warner retaliates.

At this point, both should had been flagged, and offset penalties.

4. After that DK grabs his facemask, shoves it. Deserves to be ejected. Warner doesn't do anything.

5. Then DK starts grabbing again. SMH

He will get suspended against the Eagles imo.
You must have watched a different video than me. I just watched the tackle again and DK had Warner around the waste. I would not call that low. You do not take a guy like Warner down with a high tackle. He pulled Warner by the waste back on himself stopping forward progress. I call BS on this "vicious" tackle. All of this being said DK was set up knowing that he is easily riled. Warner should also have been penalized or DQ'd. Warner knew exactly what was going to happen after that.

Metcalf is the only one that has any kind of fight in him

Foreal, I love the guy!

I wish the rest of the team showed as much heart and dog in them.

To be honest, DK, absolutely belonged in the LOB era!! He would have fit in perfectly, to a tee!!!

This era is not it for DKs abilities and personality!

I actually wish the coaching staff played to DKs strengths and team embodied his attitude! Maybe then the team wouldn’t get waxed on the field as much!

Lol Akin to bounty gate? Thats a ridiculous reach.

Nothing wrong with it. He’s not telling them to hurt anyone. He’s telling his players to get in his head so he makes mistakes.

There is not a team in the NFL that does not try to do this.

Great video. Warner is a cheap shot artist. He did not just push him down but pushed his head by the helmet and forced his neck into flexion violently.

He’s not a cheap shot artist. Where is his history of taking cheap shots?

Besides if he was a Seahawk (and don’t lie, you would love to have him on your team), you would celebrate him.

Actually, DK was guilty of his own cheap shot early this season and most of the board, and other fans, did not support it. I guess you could say what goes around comes around, but it's funny how DK gets blasted for it and Warner is given a free pass while literally no one in the media called him out even after he straight up lies about it to the press.

So what he did in the video was not a cheap shot? What would call it?
