Right now, Wilson is scoring 1 TD per game in every game but 1 this year.

There are about 15 other QBs that can do better than that in the league now, even with this line.

What we did do is pay someone big money that is going to starve the rest of the team (like what happened to the Ravens with Flacco), assuring we won't be getting better but probably will be getting worse.

20M per year QBs need to score more than 1 TD per game. Wilson is terrible at converting possessions in scoring territory into TDs this year and that is a key reason we are struggling.

But since there isn't a big giant free agent market in competent QBs, we are pretty much stuck overpaying for the results we are getting. (note: we are not really paying him $20M this year in terms of cap hit, so this only matters if he is playing like this next year).
Where should that money be allocated? While we're at it, Sherm and Earl's contracts are a waste too. Why pay all that money for TWO db's, when they can't completely mask all other defensive defficiancies with they're complete awesomeness. Go on. Solve those problems. Where should we put that money?
The game winning TD was on both Sherm and Earl but DTM isn't throwing a hissy fit about their salaries is he? Nope not his agenda.

ET and Sherm have proven they can play up to their contracts, they were both the hands down best at their positions at the time they signed their contracts. At times they will play like that, they will have bad days.

The difference is we paid wilson based on expected performance, everyone said if we pay him the money we will open up the offense and he will be like brady, rodgers, manning etc. RW has never in his career played like a 20million dollar QB and some naive fans just expected him to grow into that when he got the contract. It seems like he has topped out.

Except you can pay 3/4 of the LOB with what Wilson is making.

Is he producing results in excess of 3 players?

Also Earl is playing well, guys in the secondary are not freaking superheroes. They stopped drives repeatedly but since we did nothing on offense, eventually the damn started to break.

As for the 4th, well look and see if we were playing our standard defense at the end or giving up huge cushions? Is that on Earl or Sherm or on the scheme?

Either way, talk to Baltimore about what happens when you pay a QB so much you cannot afford other parts of your team. When we lose Avril or Bennett will it matter? What about Irvin? Will Wilson be able to offset those losses by making us a team that wins with offense instead of defense?

we all knew he wasn't worth 20 million, but he isn't responsible for all of the losses.
What was the alternative? letting him walk?

Letting him play out his contract, being glad to pay him if he played well, or franchising him. Then if he played poorly we could pay him less....

Praying for a draft replacement in last draft so he can be the understudy this year. then replace wilson in 2016...

I am so glad all the people hating on Wilson do not work for the Seahawks organization. WOW. Lets trade Wislon. Lets get rid of him after contract up. Blah blah blah. I hope you all never had a bad day at the office...

YES . The model is broke we can't put together a team good enough to mask Wilson's shortcomings anymore due to the salary cap. This is the beginning of the end of the Carroll/Wilson era. Maybe if they had drafted better at WR and O-line we'd have a chance but they did not. Wilson is not a 22 million dollar QB . That's not to say they can't make an occasional playoff run with Wilson but the Super Bowl window is closed.

It's not Lynch. He's fine. It's the OL. We're watching what might be the worst OL in NFL history. They need to completely ditch the run game. It's waste of downs. Just line up shotgun every play and hope for a prayer.

This season is over though
This loss had nothing to do with the OL.

Post Of The Year candidate?

Is Luck worth 20+ million because like Wilson he WILL be getting that and AGAIN tonight their offense looks awful. The D scored 7 of those 21 points so Luck and the offense scored 14 points and idk how he didnt have an INT the Pats got their hands on at least 5 balls.

For the year Wilson IMO has played better than Luck has and alot of people and even media claiming we would be undefeated with luck and so much better on offense...lol...please
