It's not that complicated.

1) They were released from the 53 a week or so ago.

2) They then signed to the practice squad.

3) They were elevated for vs. RAMS.

4) They'll still be on the PS tomorrow.

call ups automatically revert to the practice squad so if that were the case there should be no need to waive or release either of them.

They were released to make room for the CB and LB they picked up on waivers.

They were then signed to the PS and have been there since.

Burns is active today.. he was released and then resigned. @renofox has it correct

This is even more confusing. Why let guys play after they have been released? I’d want guys out there who are invested in our success not just their own.

I read that if a guy is on the 53 man roster as of week 1, his salary is guaranteed 100 percent, whereas if he is released and called up later, he’s only guaranteed 35 percent.
