Been a long time, .NET nation. Anywho not sure anymore of the posting rules, so mods feel free to delete if needed, but my little birdie is reporting that talks between the Hawks and Bucs in regards to VJax are happening. Nothing imminent as far as a deal goes, but the FO has been aware of the lack of, and hence actively pursuing taller receiving targets for RW since the unexpected retirement of Sidney. Currently it is my understanding that TB is seeking approx a 2 and a 4/5, Seahawks are holding firm currently at a 3rd only.
But the FO knows they need a taller, dynamic receiving option for RW and the lack of one is affecting the available play calls. They had hoped that they could get by with attacking the edges in various ways, but that hasn't panned out and the FO is now looking to aggressively fix that hole.
Anywho thought you all may be interested, and again if this is against the rules please delete mods.
EDIT: Two clarifications (one I didn't know, the other I simply forgot to mention in rushing to post this before a meeting this morning).
The 3rd round offer is for the 2016 draft, not the upcoming 2015 draft. FO is leary to trade away any picks from the 2015 draft. Never say never about trading 2015 picks but doesn't seem likely from how it was told to me. Sorry about any confusion over the pick, I didn't realize initially it was a 2016 3rd rounder. (Pretty sure I wasn't told 2016 but whatever, I'll fall under the bus haha.)
And the trade would require VJAX redoing his contract to a more reasonable range (no idea what that range is, wasn't shared/birdie didn't know) . Not sure how likely/unlikely this would be, I'd personally think not too likely since I think Jackson just recently got his payday, but maybe the hope is VJAX takes less for a chance to win? That last part is my speculation, could be totally off. Anywho that is all I know on that topic. In the end I'm just a fan like you guys, so I'm hoping for Ws, however we get them.
Go Hawks!
