You shouldn't get flamed for that. Of course some of the blame should fall on him. I tend to think its Pete hammering his philosophy of no turnovers early, play conservative, feel them out etc. and it causes Russ to play ultra conservative. This isn't a run/pass thing either. Russ doesn't take any chances early and because of it the offense is slow. I think thats more likely then saying its solely because Russ is terrible in first halves and unreal in second half of games. But I think everyone plays a part.
