Was gonna' say Penny, but I have no doubt he's gonna' be a great players.

Dissly, and yes it's because I'm a huge Dawg fan, season ticket holder etc. And I've seen what he can do.
Sorry Duck fans, you'll just have to pull for a Husky. He's gonna' contribute as a blocker, and this team needs it BIG TIME.

I usually pick my rookie based on who the team most NEEDS to step up.

So while Dissly was tempting, I'm going with Penny. Underrated and getting lambasted as a reach. Who WASN'T going to be a reach with our second-round pick in Houston?

Well, I've heard--on this very board!--the names of several high-ranking offensive linemen that could have come in and single-handedly brought order to our mess of an 0-line, guys "still on the board" that we passed up and when we could have taken Penny in the 3rd round (or something nonsensical like that).

My adopt-a-rookie is Flowers. I hope he takes his place as Sherm's replacement (even 3/4 of Sherm will be a plus).

You know the drill. You can take one and one only whos back you've got no matter what, through thick or thin:

Rashaad Penny, RB, San Diego State
Raheem Green, DE, USC
Will Dissly,l TE, Washington (aka the worst draft pick in Seahawks history)
Shaqeem Griffin, LB, UCF.
Tre Flowers, CB, Oklahoma State
Michael Dickson, P, Texas
Jamarco Jones, OT, Temple
Jake Martin, DE, Ohio State
Alex McGough, QB, Florida International

Even though he is a Buckeye, I'll pick J Jones.
He didn't test well, but I think we finally grabbed a good tackle.

Rashaad Penny (from the list) and Poona Ford (he wasn't on the list but is a rookie nonetheless)

Traditionally, this thread was aimed at the lower round picks. It allowed us .netters to pick a player not so likely to get out of training camp....but against all odds, he makes the team.

I'm hoping that Dissly can become Zach Miller II. I've got my fingers crossed!

J. Jones. The first successful O-Line pick since the debacle of the Cable era. Even if he is merely average....that is such a vast improvement over what this O-Line has been, and as a 5th Round pick, he will be a steal!

Shaquem of course! Dude is going to be a BEAST!

On a side note: one rook from LAST year who I’m expecting to make a little noise this season is Iron Mike Tyson.

Love Penny, but his production is a given.

I'm adopting dark horse Tre Flowers. Tall, speedy corner with long arms that will hit you. Dude looked legit at Okie State. Pete will make this kid a star.

There ya go, Thunder. I'm on board with you supporting young Flowers.

...But don't forget to capitalize that first letter of your sentence. ;)

It was lower case as not to draw attention, thanks Roland for drawing attention :141847_bnono:

QB Alex McGough will be Mr. August for the next 3 yrs, and then will be flipped for a high draft pick(s).

Undrafted rookie fullback Khalid Hill. The Seahawks were missing that part of the game the last few seasons along with the read option dynamic. Hammering Panda is my pick until the cutdown. Then It’sr Shaq Griffin. Ken Norton Jr. will make teach him how to be a probowler.
