Stupid penalties and even dumber play calling killed that drive. Very Bevell-esqe failed horizontal pass plays- bubble screen BS.

Well hopefully this helps reset expectations for the Huskies.
Sure they put up near 60 on Idaho. So did Washington State.
They played Portland State, Idaho and Rutgers. Not exactly a murderer's row.
They are a good team but I don't think they are anywhere near the #9 team in the country. This game proves that.
They have some good players but they also have a lot of slots were JAG (just a guy) players sit.
They are better than they have been in a long time but nowhere near a top team.
This should surprise nobody.

Washington just isn't a great team.
They are a team that is a little better than Arizona that might lose in Arizona because the HFA (travel, prep, etc... not the noise) might tilt things slightly in their favor.
Not good enough, to beat the great teams, but probably good enough to get a mid level Bowl.
And sorry, even with the Ducks in a tailspin, they are not beating the Ducks.
Also, they kind of deserve to lose. Rushing 3? That should never happen.

It isn't self-hating to point out that Washington is tremendously overrated.
They are better than average, just not the best in the Pac-12 and certainly nowhere near the top echelon of CFB.
People get excited because they have exciting players, but they have a lot of really average guys too. Guys that are trying hard and I am sure good guys - but not top level CFB players.
It isn't a crime to be the 22nd best team out there instead of the 8th.
This is a team that can make great defensive plays or put up amazing offensive scores, but they are not consistent. You might get a great stop, you might get a great hit, you might get a missed tackle or jailbreak. Same with offense, we can score from anywhere but we can also fail to score from anywhere.
