If he's saying all the right things and wants to play for a title, bring him in. If he says one selfish thing or has serious salary demands, move along with what we got.

I'm comfortable with giving him his next chance, but he needs to demonstrate some humility and a new TEAM attitude.

Yeah, I'm hoping that's a bit of tongue-in-cheek humor myself.

I'd hoped someone would at least chuckle. :D

I figured, haha. Unfortunate that some people think that way, isn't it?

I really hope the Seahawks just steer clear of this guy. At the very best, he's self-centered and has diva tendencies. At the worst, he's absolutely mentally insane.

I agree with Maelstrom. Just the thought of this scares the hell out of me. Our offense is fine. We have good chemistry on the offense. Don't F with it. Besides, I don't want anyone messing with DK's head. Hard pass for me.

Really hoping this doesn't happen. Only bad things can come from it. Besides, I don't want that morally bankrupt loser on my team anyway. I don't care how good he is on the field.

They need to concentrate their efforts and resources on the defense where we obviously need the help and leave the offense alone unless they re-instate Gordon who I would definitely be on board with.

With respect this sounds a bit over the top. We cheered on Frank Clark and we're currently cheering on Jarran Reed. If Ezekiel Elliot was on our team we'd cheer him on too.

Hell, if Big Ben had signed with our team in 2012, instead of us drafting Russ we'd cheer him on. It seems to me we pick and choose who and what to be outraged about (Jameis, Vick, AB) while we ignore others (Reed, Big Ben, Elliot).

I'm not saying this applies to you directly. Perhaps you're genuinely, and objectively outraged at all and would be ashamed if any of them were on our team. My take on this is, unless he's convicted of a crime he should be able to play on a team without issue. If he's charged and found guilty, so be it. Lock him up.

Copied from reddit; this is as of a few months ago so is probably missing another 10 instances or erratic and dangerous behavior. I think people underestimate how dangerous this guy really is.

Drove 100 down McKnight Road in Pittsburgh, which has a 45 MPH speed limit

Trashed a condo and threw furniture out a window 14th floor window, which almost hit some people, notably a child

Killed a home aquarium full of piranhas and refused to pay the man who installed the tank

Refused to play week 17 for the Steelers

Dyed his mustache blonde

Refused to pay a chef because he thought he threatened him by placing a fish head in the freezer (the fish head was saved to make a soup)

Farted on a doctor

Demanded a trade from the Steelers

Became "Mr. Big Chest"

Threw a fit over Juju winning team MVP and trashed him on social media

(Allegedly) nixed a trade that would've sent him to the Bills

Showed up to Raiders training camp in a hot air balloon

Held out and refused to show up to training camp because the NFL would not approve his helmet because it was too old for their safety standards

Froze his feet

Tried to paint over his old helmet, hoping no one would notice I guess

Acquired a newer version of the same model of helmet, which the NFL refused to let him use

Picked out a new helmet and finally showed up to the Raiders

Got fined by the Raiders for not attending camp

Tweeted the fines

Tried to fight Mike Mayock, called him a cracker, had to be held back by Vontaze Burfict, then punted a football down the practice field and said "fine me for that"

Got fined for that

Released a video where he used audio of Jon Gruden, who didn't know he was being recorded, which is illegal in California (full disclosure, Gruden has said he gave permission, but the generally accepted theory is that he said that in the hope that it would help get him to show up to the facility and not alienate him)

Demanded a release from the Raiders

Was released

"GRANDMA I’M FREEEEEE! FLY LIKE A FREEEEE!"

Made a lot of crazy tweets saying stuff like 'Devil is a lie', a proverb about burning down a village... he made a lot of crazy tweets around this time is the point here

Liked a tweet about Mayock getting raped in the ass

Signed with the Patriots

Moved in with Tom Brady

The sexual assault allegations came out (the one where he's getting sued)

The sexual harassment allegations came out (the one where he's not getting sued)

Threatened the woman not suing him in a group text that included his lawyer and had a picture of her kids in the text

Got released by the Patriots after one week

Went off on a tweet storm and said a lot of crazy shit about a lot of people, and was supportive of people sending threats to the writer of the article detailing the sexual harassment allegations

Said he was done with the NFL

Went back to college via online classes

Tried to outsource his homework to Twitter

Wants to come back to the NFL

Filed several grievances to try and get more than $40 million from the Raider's and Patriots

Was ordered to show up for a deposition regarding trashing the condo

Was accused of "reprehensible behavior" during the deposition (which is it's own insane thread, btw), which included, but was not limited too:

"Arrived nearly 30 minutes late to the deposition."

“[C]hanted, over and over, as if a mantra, a narrative of his own warped concept of the proceeding”.

“Acting as if he was above the rule of law, [Brown] proceeded to make a mockery of the deposition process. [Brown’s] antics were so unreasonable that barely twenty [20] minutes into the deposition, his counsel asked for a break [so] he could speak with [Brown] about his demeanor.

“After approximately 20-30 minutes, [Brown] required another break. When the deposition resumed [Brown] increased his level of obstructive behavior. At one point, [Brown] refused to answer any questions, instead saying “next question” no less than 10 times.”

“Soon thereafter, [Brown] started announcing a countdown, starting at ‘five (5) minutes,’ and counting down the minutes thereafter. Before noon [Brown] left the conference room.”

Said that the Patriots have to pay him anyway, so they might as well let him play

Tweeted a couple of bizarre tweets about the Raiders using him for HBO ratings and the Patriots trying to steal his stuff and kept using this weird chicken based metaphor

Tried out for the Saints and brought an entourage and film crew to shoot a music video with him when specifically told not to do that

Called out Robert Kraft for his rub and tug massage session in Florida

Starting training for a boxing match with Logan Paul

Tweeted "No more white woman 2020"

The attorney representing him in the suit involving the condo quit

Used a bunch of slurs and profane language towards cops in an Instagram video he posted

A police youth football league cut ties with him and returned a donation after the release of the video saying there was a "irreparable rift" between the department and AB

Threw a bag of gummy candy dicks at the cops in a video he posted

Got dropped by his agent

Was involved in a disputed with movers at his home where he allegedly threw rocks at the movers and moving vans. He is currently being investigated for battery by the police.

His trainer was arrested and he is still a suspect in the battery case.

Warrant issued for the arrest of AB.

AB turns himself in to Broward Country Jail wearing this suit

Rumors spread about AB signing with Tampa or Seattle

AB announces his retirement (for what I believe is the third time, it's hard to find a good record of the rest of them)

Two days later AB wants to play again and is asking for the league to wrap up it's investigation

The Seahawks need a receiver who can get open on 3rd down. AB is that guy.

Ridiculously dominant offensive and defensive units win Superbowls. AB could be the player that puts them over the top.

AB bad in the lockeroom? If it gets to that point, cut him, problem solved. He isn't going to command a large salary with guarantees.

The Packers, The Buccaneers, and the rest of the NFCW are hoping the Seahawks don't sign him.

A guy who has all these off the field problems, has been accused of domestic violence and r@p*, yet the NFL is letting him back in?

Yet Josh Gordon smoked some weed and he's still out? No consistency.

All I need to hear is "accused of r@p* and domestic violence." No.

Pete is going to be non-committal about this because it's such a hot topic, but I think in his mind, this is a non-starter.

You ever hear of a "Gold Digger?"

Not saying this is the case in his situation but lots of Woman pull this shit all the time to get a payday. Until all the facts come out and he's convicted of a crime I'd say give him a shot. Russ is all in it seems. That says a lot of the situation.

Antonio Brown has gotten himself into trouble multiple times recently, including for battery. He, in the public light, transformed into a complete assclown before our eyes.

There are incriminating emails and texts from him on this matter, which is precisely why the Patriots immediately released him upon learning of their existence.

I find it very, very hard to reasonably doubt that AB is guilty of what he is accused of.

Not over the top at all. I don't want to turn this thread into a debate about domestic violence and/or rape. But those players you mentioned, particularly Ezekiel Elliot and Big Ben disgust me and are two of the players in the NFL I despise the most. Not because they're on the Steelers or Cowboys, two teams that I love to hate, but because of the type of people (I don't want to call them "men", because real men don't do the things they've done) they are. And if they were on the Seahawks, I would still feel the same about them. Whenever I see Elliot do his "feed me" antics for the camera, it makes me want to throw up.

Regarding Frank Clark, as a passionate Seahawks fan, of course I want them to win and when Clark made a big play, I was happy and excited at the time, same as everyone else. But I was also conflicted because I knew I was cheering on someone who was convicted of something I find completely reprehensible. And for the record, I wasn't upset or disappointed at seeing him leave. Regarding Jarran Reed, I wasn't aware of his accusations until you brought it up.

It's my hope that the teams they play for get everyone involved the help they need and hopefully turn their lives around. I have not seen or read about any hint of that with AB. He is the definition of a head case. And maybe he does have CTE as someone else suggested?

Look, I'm no saint and don't claim to be. And I'm not asking for a team full of choir boys. I have no doubt there are players on the current Seahawks roster who have been involved in domestic violence because it's so prevalent in our society. It's a HUGE problem. But I'm a father of two daughters and the thought of any man laying their hands on them outrages me, as I hope it would any father. And for someone with the power and strength of a professional football player laying their hands on a woman? Can you imagine? If we sign AB, what kind of message does that send to the Seahawks fanbase?

So no, calling someone with a track record like AB's morally bankrupt is not over the top at all IMO, and I would be very disappointed if the Hawks made him part of the team I love so much and am so passionate about. And that's not even taking into account the negative influence he could have on an emerging star like DK.

I love cheering on good players, especially when they're fantastic people, too.

Take Larry Fitzgerald, for instance. I don't know anyone who has ever said a bad thing about the guy, including Richard Sherman, who trash-talked everyone. He's been a phenomenal player and fantastic role-model. He's easy to root for.

But when good players make poor choices off the field, it certainly affects the way people see them on the field. There should be opportunities for guys who screw up (like Josh Gordon's situation) to make it right. However, there's only so much a team can do.

With A.B., I'd say a hard no based on his long history of messing teams over who have tried to invest in him and his future. Biting the hand that feeds you is idiocy.

Completely agree. Always been a big fan of his even though he plays for one of our division rivals. Class act all the way, on and off the field.

If the Seahawks don't make it to the SB, would love to see Larry get a ring before he hangs it up. Or maybe get traded to the Hawks and get a ring WITH the Hawks. Perfect scenario! :D

First of all, there's nothing showing that the Seahawks are interested in him. Pete Carroll was non-committal about it. "We're in to every deal." "Pete, have you checked out his on and off field issues?" Pete's answer was basically "No" which means to me "Not interested."

Danny O'Neill floated the idea that this is AB's agent trying to drum up business. "The Seahawks "was" interested in him, so it's okay for others to consider him, but better sign him before Seattle does!"

Remember, Drew Rosenhaus dropped AB as a client. What's that tell you?

And to address someone's response that compared AB to Jarran Reed and Frank Clark...not even close. Frank was cleared, and Jarran Reed was trying to remove a woman from a party at his house. I think he bruised her arm when he was trying to get her out of the house.

Those don't compare to DV agains the mother of your child, or the accusations of rape. And with rape, you always give the woman the benefit of the doubt.

I don't think we'll see AB here, its nothing but a bunch of hot air from radio people wanting to create an issue that doesn't exist. I've heard some of them talk like it's a foregone conclusion, literally misrepresenting what was said. Pathetic.

Guys, we've been down this road before. Antonio Brown has character red flags. Therefore, if we sign him, he has a 100% chance of sustaining a head injury in an ATV accident. The front office should be able to predict this clear as day.

The only morals I'm questioning are the ones you turned to when you made the post accusing the woman of being a gold digger, despite there being incriminating evidence available in the open that another NFL team already released him for.

Unlike AB, Wilson doesn't have a history of histrionics, debauchery, and lawlessness, so he gets a bit of leeway. I don't need to question anyone you tell me to.

Edit: Want to make it clear that I'm not excusing Russ here. That's a serious bummer of a position that he's taken on AB. Still, to somehow say I should be pivoting to Russ for criticizing AB is asinine.

If we were debating whether we want this guy dating a relative? Sure. I could see the concern.

But we don't need him to be a good person, or even a sane one. We just need him to catch TDs.

If he does not catch them for us, there is a good chance he will catch them for someone else we have to play.

I could care less if he is a nice guy, just need him to be good at his job. It is very likely he is insane, if not in the grips of full-fledged CTE. So maybe he shouldn't play football at all. But if he does, I would rather it be for us than against us.

My only concern would be his impact on Metcalf. We really don't want him getting Metcalf in trouble. But the risk is worth the reward.

Why not? Cut him if/when he becomes a issue.

Because he has shown where ever he has been to be a head case, it takes a week or two to create dioscprds that can take a the rest of the season to undo.

The only reason he is in the conversation is because Russell worked out with him.
Pump the brakes! Not necessarily.

When Harvin became an issue, Seattle cut ties with him real quick.

And if I remember correctly, Seattle went on to the SuperBowl that year.

I think many here are thinking, the rewards are not worth the risk.

But Seattle has shown they will cut ties with players at the right time.

If AB can still play, he can be a great pick up.

Seattle is not that deep at receiver yet.

If DK or Lockett goes down, how many guys do you think can be the “next” guy that can takeover a game?

Moore? Swain? Are they ready to take on the first and second corners?

No.

Let’s do it! Seattle has nothing to lose! Get AB and scare the living daylights out of the rest of the NFL!
