Think it's a non-issue either way.....Hunt is the smartest protection caller and Britt is also there to help....

Ifedi will be out two weeks because he's truly hurt or he's playing every snap on Sunday....no way he's missing the Home Opener, he's going to have to be peeled off the ceiling to miss this start.

Chicken Little hopes this ankle injury to Ifedi is not some kind of precursor to the kind of rookie season Russell Okung had in his first year.

Dang, how many .net accounts does Blitzer have?

:)
Poor Chicken Little has never quite gotten over the irony of bringing in a veteran OG to line up to the right of rookie Russell Okung and a veteran TE to line up to the left of him only to see each of those veterans (added to help the rookie) cripple each of his ankles over the course of his rookie year. We will never know how much better Okung's career could gotten off to without their help. A case of a well intention plan that totally blew up in everyone's face. Chicken Little is still traumatized by that fan experience.

I don't find having Britt at C and rookie Ifedi at RT any more heart-attack inducing than having rookie Hunt at C and Britt at RG, to be honest.

Especially since Suh plays 3 tech, so he won't be lining up over RG and typically he'll line up in the 2 gap on the inside shoulder of the LG, or the 3 gap on the outside shoulder of the LG. Glowinski was going to have to deal with him either way.

What's scary is what this says about Gilliam. If they are willing to slide Britt over, that means they don't want Gilliam at RT to move Webb to RG. Webb had better tape at Guard than Tackle last year.

Gilliam is starting at RT. If they used Hunt at center, rather than have Webb replace Ifedi at RG, then that would say something (bad) about Webb.

Isnt Gilliam the starting RT already?

This is why I wanted to keep Evans, TBH: his decade of experience at the RG position.

Odhiambo is listed as Ifedi’s backup, but he has looked abysmal on the right side. At one point, Cable even acknowledged that they would be focusing his efforts on the left side. Meanwhile, Webb is a veritable turnstile and has not been prepped at guard.

Why the hell was he kept??

What a waste of a roster spot.

This is also why I wanted to keep Burley over Simon. :?

Yep. Didn't understand that decision as well.
