You know who else claimed to be a victim? A guy named Eddie Debartolo and Niner fans ate it up.

You guys sure have a twisted version of what a victim is.
It's pretty simple, really. Somebody's a victim if whatever they did helped the 49ers organization, regardless of what they did.

It IS pretty simple.

Aldon was on his driveway trying to get peeps to leave. He was stabbed. Police tracked down the guy who stabbed him, arrested him, tried him, convicted him, and sentenced him.

That would make Aldon the VICTIM of a crime. Whether or not you guys happen to think he DESERVED it or not does not change the fact that he was the VICTIM of a crime. I'm not trying to make you all cry for Aldon, but the fact remains that he was the VICTIM of a crime that night that got the perpetrator put behind bars.

Very, very simple. It only gets complicated when you try to find a way for him NOT to be considered a victim.

Did he make bad choices that night? Abso-freakin-lutely....but that doesn't make it legal to stab him in his driveway.

Yes Marvin we know and Eddie was blackmailed into giving the Governor of Louisiana $400,000 cash in a brief case too. These poor poor bastards are just unlucky I tell you.

Hey Marvin does the new stadium in Santa Clara have a mall attached like the one Eddie was trying to con the Bay area fans into? It does have similar concessions as the last one with the delivery of hosting a super bowl just like the one that finally failed after the the local government was caught counting dead peoples votes and such. No matter what Eddie did though the Bay area folks still think he is just a victim.

It must suck the way your team gets trashed around here because unlike the Webzone where all they do is make shit up to ease their pain we actually quote real instances of shit your team, ownership and coaching staff actually did.

Don't you wish you had some real ammo? Like us losing draft picks for cheating the salary cap or tampering with other teams players. It must hurt at least a little to read all the "Seahawks cheat" when you know you have actually been busted for it on multiple occasions and were punished for it.

Maybe you would feel better if just once our coach or QB looked like immature asshats in front of the world.

Do you have dreams of Paul Allen getting convicted of anything? Please lord anything?

Do you check the news every day just hoping that one of our players will be arrested for something stupid or maybe get so drunk they can't spell their own name and say they have a bomb in an airport?

See the problem with you Marvin is you will always look for the most desirable situation for your team and accept it without question. Whats worse is you try and come here and feed it to us like we are ignorant to the goings on in the bay area. Aldon according to you was breaking up a fight and got stabbed. Of course you weren't there and have no real clue of what happened yet you completely ignore that saying he was breaking up a fight is the most obvious response anyone would give. Is it possible? Sure but with everything else that went on that night you have to be a moron to ignore everything and go with the victim card. The guy put himself in harms way when he invited people to his house for a party and didn't put in the proper safe guards to prevent that situation from getting out of control. That's pure ignorance right there to not understand in his high profile position undesirables probably would show up. A few dollars for security would have saved him millions and prevented putting yet another black eye on your franchise. Unfortunately for you that is what is becoming "the 49er way".

Sorry but there is a reason you won't see people here being sympathetic to your "he was the victim" plea. He doesn't deserve it.

Hey when you respond to this could you please also explain how Culliver was the victim in his multiple felony drive too?

Rich <--------- You are here.

Point <------------------ This is you missing it completely.

What the hell does Eddie D have to do with this? LOL. Talk about the kitchen sink. You guys say I'M the one complicating this issue. LOL. Wow. Eddie hasn't owned the team for almost 20 years now. You guys complain about Niners fans talking about tropies from that era, but now you want to attack based on an owner that's been out of the league for nearly 2 decades?

I'm not asking you to have any sympathy for Aldon. That would be ludicrous. For you to think that's what I'm striving for just reinforces the fact that you really don't get what I'm saying and are just looking for a reason to rant.

One last time (I hope). This conversation was about how the league and judge would view the events of the night in question. This is about how the police viewed the night in question. The police were QUOTED saying that it wasn't a big deal that he was invited to a gun range with police for a fund raiser because he was the VICTIM on the night in question. The guy who stabbed him is in PRISON. How the hell is he NOT the victim of a crime that night? You are going to have to explain that one to me.

Its funny that I'M the one getting painted as a homer when this issue is fairly black and white. Is Aldon a saint? No freakin' way. Do I think he's the devil? No. I think he's stupid and hope he gets smarter.

Do I wish I had "ammo" against the Seahawks? Hell no. I'd rather Niner players just stopped getting in trouble. LOL.The difference is that I just don't want to see every one of them skinned and dumped in hot water. If not for the intense rivalry right now and a certain player that shall remain nameless right now, I'd actually like the Seahawks. I've liked Marshawn since college since I'm a Cal Bears fan. Even I was defensive when he was getting all the negative pub for his media persona.

As for your stadium questions....No, there is no Mall complex attached. The point of the mall from the beginning was to pay off the stadium through an added tax on anything sold IN the mall. That entire plan fell apart about the time Eddie did something stupid in Louisiana. I'm not defending Eddie. I'm pissed at him.

There is however a small DeBartolo/Montana restaurant/hotel/ business park thing that will be across the street from the stadium and just behind that a new 6.5 billion mall/hotels/restaurants/condensed living/downtown area project in development by the city and a company owned by the owner of the Dolphins.

Was a Super Bowl promised to the 49ers if the stadium got built? Probably. Ever wonder why there have been SBs in New York, Dallas, Indy, etc...all places with new stadiums?

Here is an Interesting article for all the stone throwers out there. Quite an interesting read. Talk about Eddie D. Your former GM has been tried for Murder 2 Times!!! Well this should keep the thread alive for a few more weeks until training camp. Enjoy.

By some accounts, Sunday’s Super Bowl will pit the Denver Broncos against the Seattle Thugs. Critics, from non-Seahawks fans down to politicians, see the Hawks as a blood-sport hybrid of football team and organized crime. Detractors accuse Seattle of harboring criminals in the secondary while pols such as Sen. John McCain—who lost his own Super Bowl after picking a backup whose only move was to her extreme right—apparently feels the whole roster should be jailed. Even coach Pete Carroll, McCain noted, is himself “one step ahead of the sheriff.”

Oh, and that other thing: His Hawks never went to the Super Bowl.

Woah.

That all sounds bad....

....but I think the most important part of that is the second to last paragraph where that stuff would only rank them 13th in the NFL in "thuggery". Most teams have instances like this because most players aren't choir boys. That's life. As a Niner fan, I really wish they were and REALLY, REALLY wish the Niners would freakin go one offseason without someone getting arrested. Sigh. I don't deny the issues the Niners have had...I just don't condemn them all.

Sadly, the above post is not really a statement on the 'hawks. Its a statement on the NFL in general.

Sounds terrible. Is also a pile of written shit.

And violates site policy on cutting and pasting entire articles. Thus flagged.

Dunno what Seattle Weekly is, but I found the article by googling the first sentence.

http://www.seattleweekly.com/home/95076 ... -rap-sheet

They say that it was written mostly for that last portion...to actually defend the team by saying it happens on every team.

https://www.facebook.com/SeattleWeekly/ ... 4529832261

I'm not standing by anything in the story...just posting the links.

Also posting link to NFL arrest meter referenced in story. Still figuring out how to work the thing to figure out who ranks where. LOL.

I didnt want to get flagged by posting link outs, didnt know that is preferred. I did site at the top it is an article. Obviously someone found it an put it in. Now I know i can link in. Aside from that, it is quite interesting. I posted it because of all the Eddie D talk. 2 murder charges trumps a black mail charge any day. You can look up Michael Blatt anywhere an see he was GM and important part of Seahawks franchise. Anyway all in good jest, I am a troll and love coming on here to keep things going. It is all factual information in the article, no matter how you wana spin it. I could care less if eddie D made some casino deal in Louisiana. He is LEGEND

Hahahahaha. The Niner desperation is growing more and more. That's really great stuff right there. Did I see a Portis reference?

So, now it is anyone associated with the team? Even if what they did was after the Hawks? And players that were released or let go?

Epic fail.

Arrests since 2000

http://www.sportingcharts.com/articles/ ... -2000.aspx

Seattle: 20
SF: 16

Most on the list: Vikings with 42 (wow)
Fewest on the list: Rams with 8

Granted, probably fair to say that alot of the Niners arrests have come just in the last few years.
Marvin... that is beneath you and you know it. Don't reach like that. Don't be that guy man.

Reach for what?

I wasn't drawing any conclusions. Just looking at the numbers. Even though the 49ers are painted as felons, there have only been 16 arrests in 14 years. That would be a lot for any other employer, but in the NFL that's good for 22nd in the league.

Seems relevant. I also granted that there have been a rash of them very recently.

Quality over quantity? Also, how many of the 16 are from Aldon? Just curious...

The Seahawks have dumped all but one of our players who tested positive for PEDs by the following season under Pete Carroll. (Bruce Irvin being the lone exception.) Do the 49ers have such a track record of cleaning house? Didn't think so. :th2thumbs:

Who said anything about PEDs?

If that's all we are talking about I'm not sure if the 49ers have ANY players who have tested positive (and I haven't researched that so my apologies if I'm incorrect). I'm not standing on a soapbox there though because in the NFL I think it's only a matter of time.

Aside from John Moffitt pissing on a bush outside of a mall, I think Lynch's DUI would be the last time a Seahawk was arrested.

So in the past couple of years that's one, 0.08 BAC and one urination on a bush...

V.S.

Saying "bomb" during an airport security check, DUI, driving into a tree, assaulting a motorist with brass knuckles, breaking a bottle over the head of a teammate for not giving you some car keys, possession of illegal firearms and firing firearms at a house party.

What have I missed?

I don't think Brooks was ever arrested though. Also Aldon and Delanie Walker were not charged or arrested for discharging a firearm.

In terms of actual numbers....

Aldon arrested 4 times: 1st DUI, Second DUI, Gun charges and Airport Incident.
Culliver Arrested once: (Hit and Run, brass Knuckles)
Kilgore Arrested once: (Public Intoxication, not charged).

Brooks wasn't arrested. An arrest warrant was issued but rescinded by the man behind the curtain.

I'd turn that last quote into an edit but I'm too lazy.
