Apparently someone just notified the officials:

"We can't let this beat down continue on National TV."

So the refs swallow their whistles and refuse to call holding so Stanford can make the score respectable.

The "respectable" score of 37-6...

Washington is capable but will have to play much better.

I think Stanford wins, something like 27-21.

Get labeled a genius if you're right, but it's funny when it's sooooo wrong.

Well, obviously they played much better. And Stanford played like one of the most unathletic pac 12 teams i've ever seen.

Credit where credit is due, UW was much more than capable today.

I watch this game and somehow think that the Dawgs have benefited in recruiting almost because of proxy association with the Hawks. Many UW player have had try outs with the Hawks. The Hawks have signed many of their players from time to time, even if just for a week. Seahawks spend time working out with UW players and have even taken to coaching them at times.

They kind of look and play like the Hawks right now. It's kind of weird...

Also, on one hand I'd say that UW just needs to stop beating this horse, but they aren't even doing anything remotely complicated. UW just needs to put in last stringers.

Heh, this is just D League/Minor League football anyway. It's not that important...

True that. The main event A league is tomorrow: Oregon vs Washington State!

Not what I meant. It's just college....that game is usually a good one though.

Yea, I knew that. I was just being a smart ass. Although personally I find college football as a whole, way more entertaining than the NFL as a whole.

Fairly evenly matched college teams can be fun to watch. Most are insanely mismatched strictly because one school or one program is astronomically richer, however the school's financial partitions are funded. I always watch the first maybe half of college football season because of general football withdrawals, but it just gets boring until the end where you actually start to see some really good games where there is some actual parity and really good, sound, technical football.

I do like to scout players as it pertains to Seahawk drafts, but that's just me though. I don't really have any major associations to any of the big NW schools really beyond home state.

First time in a decade? I've been a member here 3 years.

I didn't know this was a prediction thread.

Hey we're only 2 wins from being bowl eligible ;).

That win was a massive statement. Now I really really really want us to beat oregon.

We ended the arizona losing streak and now I want this one gone. If we do that then beat utah at the end of the month we are well on our way.

Only other game I worry about is Arizona st but thats way off.

Btw, uw better win this one if they want to avoid a 2 game losing streak.
You meant to say Oregon better win at Wazzu tomorrow if they want to avoid a two game losing streak, right J?

I'm more confident against UW than i am against WSU. WSU no matter how bad they are plays the Ducks tough. UW does nothing but lose to the Ducks in the 21st century. Its tradition.

You're more scared of WSU than UW?

Guess you don't watch much college ball. UW might have the best defense in the country, and a pretty damn good QB in Browning as well. Might be the most balanced, dominant UW team I've ever seen and that includes 1991.

The Ducks are going to get pummeled.

Spoken like a true duck "fan". The smack might sting if it came from a relevant fanbase. Nobody cares about WSU or Oregon, but hey, it'd take an actual NCAAF fan to know that.

But hey, maybe you guys get Chip Kelly back next season and you can buy some quality players and be a semi relevant team again (but not won any championships in keeping with O tradition).

Incredible, dominating win tonight for UW. Petersen is really turning things around. They could be ranked Top 5 next week.

SEATTLE – The North division has a bully, but it’s not Stanford.

The Pac-12 has a playoff contender, but it’s not the Cardinal.

The defending conference champion was overwhelmed, outrun and thoroughly bludgeoned by 10th-ranked Washington on Friday night in roiling Husky Stadium.

The 44-6 loss was Stanford’s worst in nine years, since a 38-point defeat at Arizona State in 2007 – the first season of the Jim Harbaugh era.

“We did not rise to the challenge, and that starts with me,” Stanford coach David Shaw said. “We didn’t do enough to get the guys ready.”

It was the kind of beat down Stanford has administered so often during its run as Pac-12 heavyweight. But instead of controlling the lines of scrimmage, the Cardinal was dominated up front. Instead of overpowering opponents at the point of contact, it was driven back.
