We need a Pass rusher, Dunlap seems to be the one most eager to leave his current team and him being public about it maybe we can get him for a 6 or a 7th if lucky.

Need to find a CB maybe dj reed can play instead of tre flowers? Or linden Stephens or something has to be done Shaq was out for a concussion I’m not sure how protocol goes if he has a chance of playing this weekend or not.

We need to play our three WR sets more, and work Moore, swain in the middle Lockett before last night was held in check the past few games, idk how much of this was Lockett being that good, or Kirkpatrick being injured and picked on.

Before last night the Vikings game we were defeated by two deep safety sets by them, Russell played awful that game until the few long balls hit, we NEED a WR that can work short yards successfully, it’s why AB would have been so good for us, now we gotta find on our team who’s going to work the middle and short stuff, we don’t run slants we don’t run curls or comebacks hardly ever, we go for 10+ yards or we take a sack more often than not in our passing game, we need something for YAC maybe we have it already but we don’t use it.

Russell is great he’s not going to be a mvp for 16 games he has a game like last night and the Vikings game which we won but this is a early exit for the playoffs

We allowed AZ to get Golden back for peanuts. This is a guy that had 10 sacks in a year not that long ago.

We don't care about stopping the pass.

We want to load this DL with fat slow guys that are good at stopping the run, even though stopping the run is a near worthless thing to be good at in today's NFL.*

(*Sure, you get stops on 4th and 1...but you won't get stops on 3rd and 15. Not even worth the tradeoff)

At this point though, given our current staff, it probably isn't worth it to trade for a pass rusher.

This is not our year and all it does is make us less competitive in the future.

As long as we have this DC, we won't be able to use whoever we get effectively. We have multiple years of Wilson and as teams like the Saints did last few years and the Packers did this year, you can always retool your team and be competitive with a great QB over time.

It isn't worth it to strip our team down from getting better in the future to load up on a year where our DC is going to hold us back anyway. Save the draft picks to get better in other years where Wilson can win something for you.

The problem is we don’t have draft picks...we have no first round picks the next two years, we have one second round pick, we’re basically in win now or blow it up mode, the way GB fixed this was a good HC, and hitting first round draft picks with Jaire Alexander

The saints aren’t a good team to look at, that team is in win now mode, especially when they don’t have a QB of the future after Brees retires

We do a better job of turning later round draft picks into 1st round quality production than most.

But to do that, we need our picks. Losing the 1sts isn't a death sentence for us. Trading most of our picks away for middling pass rushers that will not move the needle anyway? That would be.

Well then sounds like we need to blow it up, for more picks or spend a lot in FA this off season which isn’t something we ever do. At this point sounds like this is a wasted season and we’re just competing to have a worst 2nd round pick which we will probably trade back to acquire more picks

Would be awesome if we made a push for a package deal with the Bengals where we get William Jackson (CB) and Carlos Dunlap (DE). Former, in my mind, would be costlier than the latter, but nonetheless we’d get quality CB and DLine help.

Someone floated a JJ watt trade yesterday. Could you imagine? Would love to see JJ in a hawks Uni.

Regardless, we need a player on the DLine to be the identity of the position group. We have one at each level except for DLine. I hope we get this figured out.

If we don’t get a pure established pass rusher, we will not win the division or any playoffs game this year.

Trades needed to be done last week during the bye, especially when there were hints of this coming from everywhere. Not only that, but significant players were "supposed" to be coming back from injury. Neither happened, and as a result, it's the same old same old. Enjoy our potent offence for parts of the game, and then watch inferior opposing offences march down our field at will, for the rest of the game.

This is why we needed AB.

I don't think we can fix the defense. Because the problem is not personnel. The problem is the guy driving the car.

Trading for a pass rusher makes little sense of we just end up playing soft coverage with expensive secondaries and randomly throw in 3 man rushes to assure easy completions for the opposing QB. Usually in places like the shadow of the goal line where they would normally be at a disadvantage.

The 2nd coming of LT wouldn't help much at this point.

The best alternative is to assume we have to score 35-40. We have the QB for it.

We need Gordon. (Let's hope he can stay clean if he gets back).

(We honestly needed AB desperately. Very upsetting they allowed TB to sign him for 2.5M ceiling. We should have paid him more or at least tried to get a bidding war in place 2nd time they did this, the Everson Griffen signing was another...stop letting NFC teams sign guys for peanuts without at least driving the bids up!).

We need a 3rd down specialist WR. I don't think a defensive player is out there that can help us. Maybe Earl Thomas.

You can look anywhere in history and see that good defense will beat good offense virtually every time, because while a good defense can keep a good offense somewhat in check, even a bad offense will score against a bad defense. Pete of all people should know this (hell as a Ducks fan I know this very well).

Not sure why you're quoting me, but I've been saying this all along. I haven't posted one thing about wishing for any extra offensive player(s), except for maybe our own RB to be in the game.
