I don't have a problem with Pete doing things his way, but like all relationships it also has to adjust and evolve to the growth and losses as things change.
He has on paper done some of that investing in protecting Wilson with O line acquisitions, WR acquisitions, TE acquisitions, and RB acquisitions.
On defense he has went and got future stars or we hope at LB, went after players for his secondary, players for the D line.
Sure some will fall out, it not a matter of effort however.
What I have not seen is him adjust to the strength of his players like he did in the past, he adapted to what they did well, it feels like he is forcing things on defense wanting them to get his scheme rather then adapting to their skill sets as well as not trusting them, while strangle holding the offense rather then letting them show how well they could succeed.
This goes against what he was doing when he started out and doing things at that time his way.
