Anybody wanna bet a defensive player will intentionally twist his ankle? Maybe the more subtle, "let me push myself up off the ground, oh was that your ankle I pushed down on?"

Probably 10x more likely to happen since its the Rams.

I suspect that the Referees will keep a sharp eye out for such shenanigans. You can bet that Pete will be reminding them throughout the game!

Seems to me the O-line penalties accumulated were no different than any other Seahawks game I watched in recent years. Hell, Okung would get whistled like 2 or three times a game for holds. The good news is Sowell didn't light anybody up for 15, at least, not that I saw. It could have been a LOT worse.

The Russell Tweet sounds encouraging (somebody post please).

BTW, somebody enlighten us on how the whole doctor/player thing goes when he wants to go and they see something fishy. I just got a flash of Billy Bob telling Booty (sp) Miles to not get the shot. (Or am I getting movies swapped around again?)

:snack:

Russell's injury just depends on the degree of swelling today. I have sprained my ankle and walked on it the rest of the day only to wake up the next day seriously wondering if it was broken. Sounds like it might not be too severe if he is walking on it.

Off topic: Not to contradict you HH but I always had the same feeling about Okung and seemed to remember him collecting penalty after penalty. A few weeks ago just out of curiosity I checked his stats and was really surprised at what I found. Last year he played 13 games and had six penalties for an average of less than one-half per game. The year before he had 11 penalties in 14 games but in one game he had three and in two other games he had two each. So, he actually didn't have any penalties in seven games in '14 & none in seven games in '15.

I think those three games in 2014 where he had multiple penalties is where it gets implanted on our brain that he is constantly committing penalties. I felt exactly as you though, it's funny how perception can alter our reality. (And yes, I realize you were exaggerating the amount each game)

Now we see if recovery water actual very good for make better. That ankle feel like terrible today.

This guy/gal is turning into my favorite poster.

Definitely not, grammar matters people.

Sure it does.

Unless, of course, you're from Northeastern Europe and English is your third language.

It still matters, but why don't you help him out since you seem to know him so well.

If the Rams are planing on playing next week like they did today, I am fine with RW3 resting his leg and letting Boykin have some fun.

PC makes it sound like Russell is determined to go and that's how it will play out but he's just blowin' smoke. The Seahawks have one of the best sport's medicine staffs in the league w/four specialists on staff. I am sure that he has already had an MRI and they have a very good idea of the extent of ligament damage. If they think he will risk serious damage he will not play, period. Given that he is walking on it and doesn't have a boot indicates that it is a grade 1 sprain, the least serious. In either case, PC probably wants the Rams to prepare for a less mobile RW whether he plays or not. It's gamesmanship.

Color Rush game is set to take place at CenturyLink Field on Thursday Dec. 15 against a division rival, the Los Angeles Rams.

Action Green vs. Rams' New Century (navy) Blue.

I will be at that game proudly supporting the Hawks...and I'm not sure what to make of the giant limeade we'll see on the field!

On topic, Wilson battled on pure guts with that injury Sunday and if there's one man I'd put money on that can be ready this Sunday it's him.

That ankle had better not get aggravated.
He's a coach, thus whatever he says in that capacity is 'coach speak,' no? It's not hard to image Wilson not wearing a boot, and he's pretty darn durable, so I don't no how you can dismiss what Pete said as cloak and dagger behavior.

I have no idea whether it is cloak and dagger, it's speculation, like nearly everything else on this board, it's what we do.

Having said that, I do know that coaches are not going to tell you everything they know, that much is a given.

The salient point of the post is that the Seahawks are NOT going to let RW play if it risks serious damage to his ankle.

Also it's been known that Wilson won't tell them everything he is feeling either, Carroll had mention that before in a presser about the durability of Wilson.

The Rams do this anyway, it's how Fisher and Williams coach their players, to be fake tough with all their extracurricular nonsense.

Saw it last night, so nothing's changed. Rams be Rams.

Do the rams even have a quarterback right now? Before they get the #1 ready?

Good question, I'm not sure. Can that noodle-armed mess we saw on the field last night be considered a Quarterback?

If the Ram's offense look like last night and with our defense playing the way they had played.....we will start seeing some turnovers, it will come in bunches and our offense might not have to do much if our defense starts scoring.

In the fight for HFA, in which it can and usually does come down to one game, I don't think Seattle can afford to just throw a game away to avoid some catastrophic result.

If he can play, he plays, simple as that. Unfortunately, they don't have the luxury of worrying about the dirtiness of the Rams. You have to go out and treat each game like its your season, because, it may end up to be just that.

This is what they mean about not playing with fear. There is no way he misses a snap if he can go. I have a feeling he will have a heroic performance. The great ones tend to when they are injured like this. Aaron Rodgers did it. Philip rivers played with a tore acl or mcl, McNabb had a broken ankle he played on, or something like that.

I am not so sure the rams defensive struggles were something they can shake off. They lost jenkins, McLeod, long and Laurinaitis from its defense. Mcleod and jenkins are huge losses. If the dbs can't cover, the d line won't get there. I'm not sure it was a fluke they looked so bad. They may be implodinh.
