They've made exceptional strides in robotics the past 5 years. Judgement Day is real and it's coming.

Cybernetics is still young....So the borg queen told me.

Just think the 6 million dollar man was coming out on tv back in the late 70s.

Indeed.

My only concern is the synaptic interface. Will it heal ahead of schedule as well?

Seattle Seahawks Rumors: Michael Vick, Josh Freeman Eyed As Russell Wilson’s Backup?
No sources cited, not even anonymous ones. Utter speculation which we're capable of here. In fact, maybe the guy that "wrote" this read those names from posters here. As our member Rocket says in his sig, journalism is dead (I'm paraphrasing).

I'm a lot less worried about his ankle at this point and a lot more worried that he doesn't seem to think the human body needs sleep.

If we lay and egg and he struggles, is anyone going to acknowledge the fact that he seems to think it's somehow beneficial to get 6 hours of sleep total four or five days after being injured in an NFL game?

^^ If he and the team aren't worried about it. I'm not going to lose sleep over it.

Yeah and I get that and he has the best people in the world around him but at some point that just seems a little crazy. It's not science myth or something that you need sleep to restore your body, it's not really a debatable fact so it just seems nuts, and also unnecessary.

If putting Boykin in would force Pete and Bevel to go spread more, it might be worth it.

Yes, because going spread with an inferior QB would fix everything.

Sarcasm is lost on some people.

Sometimes hard to pick up on from text.

Oh, I hear ya; I just saw an opportunity to throw a pun in there.

Are there any more silly videos of him riding a stationary bike?

Those are hilarious.

I've been wondering about this and the whole "no time to sleep" thing and I wonder... there's something I learned a long time ago in one of my psych classes. We were studying sleep psychology and watched a documentary on the need for sleep for healing and recovery

Turns out one study talked about the phase of sleep really needed by the body for recovery and rest was the REM stage. They even did a study where people would fall asleep but would be woken up right after entering REM. They'd be allowed to go back to sleep but then would be woken up right after entering REM. Conclusion? They felt just as tired as if they had no sleep. (The extrapolation of this is the perfect lenghts for naps are waking up after a REM stage which means about 30 minutes, then again after about 90 minutes, etc.)

Then the documentary went on to study a very very small subset of people that somehow can get the benefits of REM without sleeping. These people never need sleep. They interviewed some of these folks and throughout their life they have tried to sleep but eventually would stop after about an hour just because they didn't need it. Also talked about poor parents trying to raise kids that didn't need sleep and how sleep specialists were working with the parents and children to try to have them at least achieve some sort of normalcy in sleep scheduling.

So all in all, wonder if Russell somehow is one of these folks? It would explain why he doesn't need much sleep, and possibly why he's a very fast healer if he's achieving REM like all the time. Combine the above sleep psychology theories with someone with a non-stop competitive edge who wants to climb to the top of his profession. Maybe that's what we got here

Just an interesting conjecture I thought I'd share.

I've definitely known a lot of people who consistently function on four or five hours of sleep and love it. Any more and they're tired and useless. They fill their extra hours with productivity and do amazing stuff.

I hate them.

Either Pete and SEA bluffed the entire week, or Schefty is thirsty for clicks. Well, thirstier than normal.

No way you play an NFL football game with a "High Ankle Sprain," sorry. Not even w/ nanobubbles.

Vannett has been out for a month, with a high ankle sprain, but Russ practiced all week and will play? Hmmmm.

I think he had a high ankle bruise.
If you see Suh stepping on him, his ankle doesn't really turn, his whole body rolled with it.

No doubt, having a 300 pound guy land on your instep, will no doubtly hurt, but, unless I missed it, and it's likely I did, I didn't really see him twist it.
