Yeah Chiefs have looked all game like they are setting us up to break our hearts in the 4th even though kaepernick is getting pressured almost instantly every play.

Yet another 3rd and 1 and instead of running Jamaal Charles, Alex Smith is throwing.

Someone tell Andy Reid there's a sandwich in the back and get him off that sideline.

This is an interesting game but it means nothing.

The 49ers are not going to lose this one. No way. Reid is the Paul Westphal of the NFL.

You could even see it when he refused to run for the one yard, even though he has one of the best RB in the game.

We might not like Harbaugh but he is one of the best coaches in the NFL. He isn't going to lose to Reid at home.

And Reid keeps making the mistake of thinking he has a good QB. He doesn't.

He has a serviceable QB and a great RB.

This might be fun to watch but SF has 0% shot of losing this one.
That's funny because I was listening to the game on Sirius in the car and they were touting that Fat Andy was some kind of offensive genius when it comes to play calling. I'm not seeing that, especially on 3rd and very short.

Wow just wow. Reid is the worst coach on the planet. 12 men on the field.

What a joke Andy Reid and his staff are.

12 men on the field at the field goal extends the drive.

Well done on destroying the Pats. Big deal.

That 12 man on the field call was just brutal and may have cost the chiefs the game.

The Chiefs have a barely above average coach combined with almost no QB.

If you remember Elvis Grbac, bear in mind that if he was on the roster he would start over Alex Smith.

Alex Smith succeeds in KC because his RBs take focus off him, but to give him the ball and try to put the game in his hands? That is insane.

He is their Charlie Whitehurst, someone the team tells the fans is just fine but anyone watching realizes cannot win a game by himself.

In a QB driven league, he is their albatross.

If they hold the niners to 3 here there is zero chance of smith/Reid engineering a TD drive. Would have to be a fluke play or Charles busting a big one.

Alex Smith is just good enough to drive the Chiefs down to the red zone but he's not good enough to get them to the endzone.

Lol you could tell from his look on the sidelines, Alex Smith was going to do something stupid if the game was left up to him

Well done KC.

You have a crowd noise record nobody cares about and a really really average football team.

Game was over the instant it required the chief offense to mount a final drive.

The game was actually over the moment KC decided to try to convert 2nd &1, and 3rd & 1 by having Alex Smith throw it.

Alex was so bad that he was almost drummed out of the league before Harbaugh rescued him. But call Harbaugh unfair, he knew Alex was killing his FB team because he gave them no shot to win by making plays. So they got rid of him. Harbaugh took some junk from some of his own fans on that one - but fair or not, it was the right decision.

Alex Smith is fortunate to be a starter, and should really be a backup QB in the NFL. The only other team I can see him starting for is maybe the Rams - I don't even think the Browns take him over Hoyer. He simply is decent, but not a guy you can count on to win games for you.

Maybe the defense gave up some large drives too but that game fell apart once it became clear the offense wasn't going to be able to keep up with the 49ers.
