Hey there's more to life than reacting to the latest hater article, and if ever there was a hater article, it's this ESPN one about supposed events > 10 years old.

The Rams/Patriots super bowl was 14 years ago. Their claim was that the Patriots beat them by illegally learning their red zone offensive plan for the SB. In the actual game, the Rams got in the red zone once and scored a TD. But that won't stop Martz & that loser Marshall Faulk from crying, and ESPN from using it as a grave example of cheating.

You wish that was all there was to it but everyone knows there was much more cheating than that. No team goes into the Super Bowl planning to not play by the rules. But the Cheatriots did. You can do that when the Head Referee is in your pocket. Rams WRs constantly mugged. Warner knocked stupid after a hit to the face. Intentional grounding not called. All the Cheatriots could do in the second half was score two FGs the last of which at the end of the game on a drive in which Shady Brady CLEARLY COMMITTED INTENTIONAL GROUNDING that would have ended that drive.

(Due to robot narration best viewed with sound turned off.)

After the FG the officials ran all the time off the clock to deny the Rams even getting a chance to touch the ball.

Who was the official responsible for assuring a Cheatriots victory? None other than Head Referee Bernie Kukar. Scroll ahead to 3:35 to see Faulk get blatantly held then watch Kukar try to talk the other officials to pick up the penalty flag. Then watch Warner get hit in the face on an INT returned for a TD and no flag from Kukar. Of course earlier in the game on a Rams fumble recovered by the Cheatriots Kukar picked up the flag against the Cheatriots. Then with time running out Kukar stops the clock when the Cheatriot RB was tackled in bounds. Nice body of work there Bernie.

Josh Thomas was the CB Kearse burned in the 2013 opener, signed with the Hawks in 2014, then, what do you know, signed with the Jets.

After a victory over the Titans on Dec. 14, 2014, Thomas returned home to New Jersey with the team where he placed his belongings in the trunk of his car. That afternoon he discovered that the Jets team tablet (including the playbook) had been stolen from his luggage. He was released a day later from the team.

Guess who the Jets next opponent was?

Someone targeted the tablet and searched for it in his luggage. Airport thieves take the entire piece of luggage and dump what they do not want at a separate location.

Coincidence? How much else is unknown?

That's a slam dunk on the Pats by today's standards of proof. Really, call ESPN.

I hate to agree with this person, but yeah... that's thin. Reads like someone should learn to secure luggage with important electronic devices in it or own up to losing it. Whichever is true.

See that's what drives Patriots fans batshit crazy and why guys like 50 year Pats fan have to spend all their waking hours defending his corrupt franchise, they've waited 100 years to be good at something, anything.................and now that they're good, no one gives them any credit or legitimacy outside of the greater NE area.

You're bringing in officials calls as proof of NE cheating? You sure about that dude? Cause if you're gonna play that game I can point out a few huge NE losses where the refs absolutely killed us, similar to your SB loss to Pitt.

It is what it is. NE's reputation is due to Goodell, ESPN, and gullibility. Very little is based on actual events. Eventually the dust will clear.

This statement is so rich in head-in-the-sand irony it's practically a work of art. Goodell protected your team because of Kraft and ESPN brushed your team's cheating under the table at Goodell's behest. You don't get to now pretend you are the victim after years of a one eye closed policy. The Patriots cheated and your trophies are forfeit. Deal with it.

As I have said in past I have no problem with Ron B or 50yrPat.I think they are decent guys with a brain. It just sucks who they are fans of because those 2 teams always seem to have controversy in the playoffs that get them the win. It's not just against our Hawks but the Raiders,Rams and yes the Cards. It shouldn't be this way and it's not fair to the fans but does the NFL care?I doubt it,not with record profits ect.

You bet. Starting with the Tuck Rule against the Raiders. The NFL in bizarre fashion after 9/11 had to have the Patriots win. You can't explain the calls any other way. You can't explain the Cheatriots ignoring the rules from the start unless they KNEW they were going to get away with it. Cheatriots put Faulk in a bear hug and Kukar argues against the flag? Intentional grounding was obvious yet that is Kukar's call to make or in his case ignore.

Then there is the illegal taping of signals and plays that got the Cheatriots into the playoffs and continued for many years. In fact I won't be surprised to learn that the cheating continues to this day.

Deflate gate can't be dismissed since the Cheatriots have an amazing record of not fumbling the ball. Lets see how this season treats your fumbling rate. I suspect instead of far out front like in years past the Cheatriots will now be quite average.

Enjoy your cheap low rent culture that has garnered the well deserved derision throughout sports. Your franchise spokesperson should be Tonya Harding or Lance Armstrong. Now the name Patriots in football is synonymous with cheating and will remain so far into the future.

Don't forget the visiting team's helmet headsets cutting out while Brady's stayed on well past the 15 second play clock mark when they're supposed to be disabled. Coaches were tipping him off on what the defense was doing right up to the snap.

You're right, thanks. So much cheating with the Patriots it is hard to keep abreast of just that which we have learned.

Proof would be nice. They're just what you called them: quotes and accusations, nothing more. No proof except for 1 thing they freely admitted, which was filming coaches' signals from the field 9+ years ago. All the rest is just noise.

Bzzzzzzzzzzzttt! WRONG!!!!!
Noooooo, actually it's YOU that is on the island with YOUR train of thought. We have Hawks, Niners, Rams, Cards, Panthers, Saints (and I'm probably missing a few) fans here that know your team, your coach, and your QB cheated!

You say that you don't care what other fanbases think about your team or its (Tainted) legacy, but here you are day after day posting the same old Cheatriots propaganda, defending the indefensible convincing exactly NO ONE!

Do you get brownie points for blindly defending your team on other teams fan forums?
A tainted legacy forever tarnished in the eyes of pretty much every fan base but yours.
