Do you want to draft a QB in 1st?

This is what I was trying to explain in the Gameday chat yesterday and of course was told I'm a lousy fan

You are far from a lousy fan. You are one of the best, as you want the Seahawks to be great.

The fans that criticize you are more aligned with 9ers and Rams fans who are actively rooting for Pete and Geno to stay as it solidifies their teams as playoff contenders for years to come.

Carr has a fully guaranteed $30M contract for 2024 and a no trade clause. The Saints aren't picking a QB at #14.
That is a pretty flimsy reason why they wouldn't draft a QB. Teams draft QBs in the 1st rd with established starters / Big money QBs in place all of the time.

If that's a flimsy reason you should probably list the good reasons why teams picking before the Saints aren't picking a QB.

The basic premise of your original post about dropping a few spots with a win was fine. You just needed a better Draft example to demonstrate it. Maybe a mock Draft where the Saints traded the pick to a team that did want a QB. (Ironically that team could end up being the Seahawks).
